Aurora HDR 2018 is Apple’s Mac App of The Year

My personal favorite HDR app Aurora HDR 2018 was selected for Mac App of the Year and you can save $10 with the discount code FUJIADDICT this app gets better every year, but I am surprised Luminar 2018 didn’t win. Both apps have improved quite a bit, but Luminar has improved the most. Regardless you can save on both with our code FUJIADDICT.

Affinity Photo for iPad is Apple’s App of The Year

Who needs Lightroom Mobile when you can use Affinity Photo for iPad and save 50% for a very limited time. Affinity Photo was announced at the Apple WWDC keynote and it blew away many Photographers and graphic designers. Affinity Photo is very versatile but with less of a learning curve than applications like Photoshop, while I own a copy I have only had to use it twice on location and it worked perfectly both times. There is also a desktop version of Affinity Photo if you enjoy their app.

Conomark HSS Flash Remote and Trigger For Fujifilm Announced

Conomark announced Fujifilm support finally so… My Impact Venture TTL-600 setup from B&H Photo (which I really like) should have a native trigger soon! Just take a look at the Conomark ABC system remote control and i6T-TTL. I can’t wait for B&H Photo to get these in stock so I no longer have to use the RoboSHOOT, which has been “temporarary discontinued” due to confusion about it’s place in the market. The photography accessory market is rough and a lot of sites wont push produts that don’t sell well because they don’t really understand the product to begin with, but the RoboSHOOT was second to none and it will be missed. Lets all hope Serene Automation comes back soon.

FujiAddict Rumor Timeline Roundup: Fujifilm X-H1, X-F10, X-F100, X-T3, GFX 50R, and GFX 100S

The past few days have been crazy for breaking rumors and FujiAddict sources really knocked it out of the park. So I have been asked to condense the release dates into an easy to read timeline with details, but hey when’s the last time 6 cameras leaked with tons of details in 3 posts anywhere, but here?

2018

  • Fujifilm X-H1 Expected February 2018
    • IBIS
    • Max Framerate 4K :30fps. X-H1’s Max Framerate HD :120fps
    • Higher quality video than X-T2
    • exposure compensation button instead of exposure compensation Dial
    • Sub Monochrome LCD Monitor
    • Fujifilm WP-126s battery
    • much bigger and deeper hand grip
    • same processor as X-T2
    • in X photographers hands today
    • dust and weather-resistant body
    • camera for both videographers and photographers
    • ETERNA Film simulation
    • between $1900 and $2200
  • Fujifilm X80 will likely become XF10 due to a name change Launch date unknown
    • maybe bayer sensor
  • Fujifilm X-T100 Q1
    • include new XC 15-45 kit lens
    • Q1 is an opinion from source
  • Fujifilm GFX 50R Photokina 2018 (September 25 – September 30)
    • Price between $3,900 to $4,300
    • 50MP sensor still
    • Range Finder Medium Format Mirrorless İntercangeable Lens Camera
    • Announcement or shipping ( which one is not clear ) will be at  Photokina 2018
    • Basically X-Pro version of GFX 50S
  • Fujifilm X-T3 Photokina 2018 (September 25 – September 30)
    • New Processor
    • Max Framerate 4K : 60 fps

2019/2020

  • Fujifilm GFX 100S Photokina 2019 (May 8th to 11th) 0r 2020
    • very expensive
    • IMX461 Sensor, which we spotted first a long time ago

You can read the individual rumors (1, 2, 3, 4) and I will be writing about the various cameras listed above more in the future because I think we can make some safe inference like the video-centric X-H1 should have a grip with XLR jacks or even a guess/wish that maybe the video finder can be removed so that you can securely mount something like an ATMOS on top. It’s highly likely Fujifilm designed the X-H1 to do much of what the Panasonic GH5 does and more, while the X-T3 will likely be a Sony a9 killer. It’s important to use the right tool for the job.

Meyer Optik P75 II Will Get GFX Mount If 25 Indiegogo Supporters Ask For It

The Meyer Optik P75 II might be produced in G-mount if 25 backers ask for it via the Indiegogo since the lens can create a big enough image circle. Meyer Optik makes some really unique glass and this could be a very interesting lens on the GFX, but if you’re not a GFX shooter it’s also avalible on X-Mount.

Meyer Optik is known for bubbly and swirly bokeh, which photographer either love or hate. This lens suposidly does both, which is kind of unique. You can see some examples below and there are more on the Indiegogo page. Their lenses have a nice feel to them and I wish they were a little easier to get a hold of, but this is  how they launch them so if you want one for your GFX order today.
