Laowa will announce a new focal reducer for X-Mount on March 30th for 1,500 yuan or about $235.69 USD. This adapter will be for EF and PL mount lenses providing an additional stop of light and removing the APS-C crop factor. You can buy Laowa lenses and accessories directly from Venus Optics, or Amazon / B&H Photo.
The GIZMON 50mm f/1.6 Miniature Tilt lens is a new tilt option that is available for X-Mount. The lens is not currently in stock anywhere, but it should show up on GIZMON’s Amazon store any day now for around 14,000 yen or $113.98 USD.

Taipei, Taiwan – Wise Advanced introduced a new series of V90 standard SDXC UHS-II memory media in 128GB, 256GB and the world’s first 512GB.
By taking advantage of newer chips, software and 3D NAND flash memory, the maximum capacity is increased to 4 times larger than the original model while simultaneously being able to support minimum sustained writes of 90 MB/s.
Rather than spending the majority of the company’s energy and resources on developing the latest form factor – the SD Express – it chose to focus on current demands.
“The SD Express could be a rising star in the future when more cameras apply this technology. But in the current landscape, we believe the current SD card format will continue to dominate the market, especially since Apple has put back the built-in SD UHS-II slot in the latest MacBook Pro,” said Frank Wang, product manager of Wise Advanced.
The Wise SD-N series memory media is expected to be available in mid-April 2022.

The Fujifilm GFX50R was rumored to be discontinued over a year ago and B&H Photo listed the GFX50R as discontinued in December, but then additional stock came in and the camera has been in stock up until now. The GFX50R is still in stock at Amazon and Moment so it is probably still premature to consider the GFX50R discontinued, but it is highly likely the camera will be replaced soon.

It’s been a while since Fujifilm launched its excellent, but expensive Fujinon XF200mm f/2 and since then photographers have been asking for more telephoto goodness. Well, it looks like some patents have dropped for a potential Fujinon XF400mm f/4 and Fujinon XF550mm f/5.6 with OIS. If Fujifilm decides to produce these lenses let’s hope that the price point is a bit more accessible without sacrificing quality.
