Fujicast Fujifilm X-H2/X-T4 and More – With Marketing Manager Andreas Georghiades Again

Last time Fujicast had Andreas Georghiades on at the house of photographer for their anniversary episode at the Fujifilm House of Photography. This time Andreas Georghiades talks about X-T4 and X-H2. This is a lengthy podcast at 1hr 23min in length and Andreas doesn’t show up until 1:06:56, but I would recommend starting at 56:11 to hear about their experience with the X-T4. Below is a summary of the entire podcast if you’re interested.

Summary

  • Intro
    • For the first 30 min of the podcast, they go over shooting tips and the specs of the X-T4
    • This is followed by Andrew Mumford talking about his photography
  • X-T4 Talk
    • Can send video via WiFi to your phone to post
    • F-Log assist to help you shoot F-Log
    • New Low Light EVF boost priority
    • Bigger update for videographers than photographers
    • Doesn’t feel a lot heavier or bigger than X-T3, but X-H1 did
    • AF is noticeably quicker
    • Spray and prey photographers will lover it
    • Will see X-T4 at the Olympics
  • Andreas Georghiades
    • Fujifilm has had a very busy 6 months with X-Pro3, House of Photography, X-T200 and lenses, X Summit, X100V, and now X-T4 along with a photographer show coming up.
    • Doesn’t want to comment on X-H2 which he calls a future non-existent product
    • X-T4 addresses all the things people said X-T3 was missing for professional video shooters, like IBIS, Tilt Screen, Battery life, etc…
    • Fujifilm has something for everyone
    • X-T4 professional video shooters, X-T3 ones that don’t need IBIS, X-Pro3 for purist along with X100V, X-T30 for smaller, X-A7 and X-T200 for beginners
    • Sony has been big in the world of weddings, but Andreas won’t dis them because he used to work for them
    • Andreas does say Sony is a bit soulless though
    • The X-T4 should bash the door down hard on a7III users, due to how good AF performance is now, also the mechanical shutter is very quiet and can shoot 15fps quietly, along with great IBIS make the X-T4 the ultimate solution
    • Feedback on X-T4 has been very positive from journalists that are normally critical about Fujifilm products
    • Fujifilm can’t please everyone all the time, but it would be boring if they did
    • Complete silenced when asked about when X-H2 will come out
  • End with Q&A
