Tether Tools released a new Air Direct Wireless Tethering System for Fujifilm that you can now purchase from B&H Photo.
The Tether Tools Air Direct Wireless Tethering System is a compact transceiver that provides remote control capabilities as well as high-speed RAW and JPEG image transfer using a computer or mobile device. The Air Direct attaches to a compatible camera via USB-C connection and can be mounted on the camera’s hot shoe. It then creates an 802.11ac ad-hoc Wi-Fi network for connecting to a computer or mobile device. Users of tethering software such as Capture One, Lightroom, Smart Shooter, DarkRoom, Canon EOS Utility, Nikon Camera Control Pro 2, Helicon Remote, AstroDSLR, or Phocus can maintain their workflow without the limitations associated with physical camera-to-computer cables while the Air Remote App provides compatibility with iOS or Android devices.

Nokishita just leaked the Fujifilm X-Pro3’s shipment date: November 28th, 2019 and price 235,950 yen (USD $2173.34) for black and 263,450 yen (USD $2426.64) for duratect black/silver.
FUJIFILM “X-Pro3” mass retailer prices are 235,950 yen including tax for black, and 263,450 yen including tax for duratect black and duratekt silver. Scheduled release date is November 28, 2019.

It looks like Fujifilm is the first camera company adding computational photography to a professional camera after going over the leaked press release closely.
“The camera handles multiple exposures of up to 9 frames in the Additive, Average, Comparative Bright or Comparative Dark mode to combine images taken from multiple viewpoints or at different times into a single image. You can apply different Film Simulation modes to each of the frames to create a multi-layered collage.
Just based on the leaked document it doesn’t sound like it will be as advanced as a modern smartphone like the iPhone 11 Pro, but since the X-Pro3 will be very JPEG centric it makes sense to start stacking photos for additional JPEG data as long as it is done intelligently. I’m curious to see how well this new feature works in use, but I do not think it will convince RAW shooters to switch back to JPEG.
