ON1 Photo RAW 2020: Finally A Full Featured Lightroom Replacement That Respects You

ON1 has been chasing Lightroom for a few years now, but the upcoming 2020 release will be the first to match Adobe’s cloud services without forcing you to use one cloud storage platform. In fact, they have a syncing feature that does not require a cloud provider at all if you like, which is great, but they do not elaborate on how it works.

I personally have narrowed my option to CaptureOne and Luminar, but now I am considering ON1 again because iOS editing it attractive to me and Adobe is currently the only company doing it well, but it comes at a stupid high cost. I am optimistic that ON1 Photo Mobile 2020 will satisfy my needs, but we all will have to wait a little longer to see. Fujifilm Now Has 3 Unknown Registered Cameras Out There

Fujifilm has registered yet another camera so now we are waiting for the announcement for three cameras. Unfortunately, it seems that big advanced internal leaks are going to be less frequent due to some new policies that one of my internal sources told me about so we probably aren’t going to hear much beyond 3rd party leaks coming from people under NDA. So if anyone out there wants to help out feel free to use the contact forms.

If I had to venture a guess one of the three is probably the Fujifilm X100V/X200 since it will likely share a lot of RND from the X-Pro3. The other one I am less certain about, but I feel it should be the Fujifilm X-H2, but it will likely be a future X-E/X-A level camera. It could also be something completely new since Fujifilm is getting better at keeping secrets. Either way, bring on the mirrorless war because Fujifilm seems more than ready to compete.

Markins PF-100 FUJIFILM GFX100 Camera Plate

Trimble Co., Ltd. released the Markins camera plate “Markins PF-100 FUJIFILM GFX100 Camera Plate” and the subplate “MARKINS LF-100 FUJIFILM GFX100 Subplate” on August 20.

The PF-100 is a camera plate that is attached when using the Fujifilm medium format mirrorless camera “FUJIFILM GFX100” on an Arca-Swiss compatible head.

When combined with the LF-100 sub-plate, it can be used as an L-shaped plate (L-shaped bracket), and can be switched between horizontal and vertical positions without shifting the optical axis when using a tripod.

In both cases, a lightweight and strong aluminum alloy that is also used as a material for aircraft is machined, barrel-polished, and then subjected to advanced hard anodizing (hard anodidine), which is characterized by high wear resistance. Read More »
