New release of “instax mini 12 Kumamon
A limited edition model featuring the popular character “Kumamon” is now available
A limited edition set of a Cheki and original design accessories
FUJIFILM Imaging Systems Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Shinagawa-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Koji Matsumoto) will release the limited edition “instax mini 12 ™ Kumamon” model featuring the design of Kumamoto Prefecture’s PR character “Kumamon” from March 12, 2025 on various e-commerce sites and Fujifilm’s official shopping site “Fujifilm Mall”.
The product being released this time is an original model that combines the popular instant camera “instax mini 12 ™ ” with a silicone case, shoulder strap, and stickers featuring Kumamoto Prefecture’s PR character “Kumamon.” The silicone case and product packaging feature colors inspired by Dekopon, a specialty of Kumamoto Prefecture.
Going forward, we will continue to convey the true value of photography – “take, keep, display, and gift” – by proposing new ways to enjoy the instax ™ instant photo system, which allows you to print photos immediately after taking them.
What is Kumamon?
Born in March 2011, when the Kyushu Shinkansen line opened, he will celebrate his 15th anniversary in March 2025. His main job is to find surprises and happiness in the surrounding area and spread the word about them to people all over the country. He was selected by the governor as the sales manager and happiness manager of Kumamoto Prefecture, and is now enthusiastically promoting Kumamoto’s delicious food and natural beauty not only in Kumamoto but also in other parts of Japan and overseas.
