Fujifilm FPS Program Changes Coming For 2020

As many of you know I have been an FPS member from the start and there have been a lot of rumors about where FPS is going, but most of them are wrong. If you call up FPS they will tell you that the program is changing, but it’s highly unlikely it will ever be free because they do offer a lot of support if you ask for it, in fact, I recently asked for an insert for the case they sent me the other year to fit my GFX100 and not only did they find me one, but they sent me an entire case for free.

So how will the program change next year? FPS told me that they plan on adding X equipment coverage, but they are unsure if it will be at an additional cost or for the same $499 a year that I currently pay. This would certainly be an improvement over the old program, but I would like to see a slight price reduction to $399.

Personally I think FPS wants to do right by us, but unless you pick up the phone and call they can’t do much. I have always enjoyed the customer service they have given me when I take the time to call, but I wish they did more for photographers without us having to ask. It is nice to know in advance that when I renew my membership in 2020 I will have the rest of my Fujifilm equipment covered by FPS because I am not a fan of sending my equipment to third parties for service to save a few bucks.
