Fabian Pourmand dropped his Fujifilm X-T2 6 feet! The drop only damaged to his screen protector and battery door. I use the Phantom Glass screen protector on my X-T2 and it works perfectly, but this should be a warning for those that like to shoot strapless. I have saved more than a few of my cameras from spills by grabbing the strap of a falling camera, but I have also fallen face first on a M camera and that was heart breaking. Be careful people.

Fujifilm takes their big firmware updates seriously and Firmware update 2.0 for the Fujifilm X-T2 and update 3.0 for the X-Pro2 have been very well received. In fact Fujifilm updates are so serious that they now own Fujifilmfirmware.com just so you can get your firmware faster. When you buy a Fujifilm camera on day one you get to look forward to that new camera feeling 2-3x throughout your ownership experience, which no other manufacture can match.

Fujifilm GFX 50S L-Brackets from FLM and Really Right Stuff, Plus Articles

The FLM L-Bracket is the first generic L-Bracket that I have seen successfully fitted to the Fujifilm GFX 50S. It leaves room to access ports, but you will need to loosen the bracket to switch batteries. RRS (Really Right Stuff) also opened their pre-order page today, but no details about the L-Bracket are available yet.

Fujifilm GFX100 Leaked Image/Details

Now that we know Sony is preparing the IMX461 sensor for the GFX line in late 2018/2019 it’s time to show off the latest batch of leaked pictures for the first camera that will benefit from their new monstrous 100 megapixel BSI sensor. Unlike other sites we haven’t blurred or altered these pictures in anyway so hopefully our source won’t get in trouble, but this camera will be a beast.

Fujifilm will utilize a new 28mm f/2 pancake lens for the GFX100. The camera will be approximately 3x the size of the current X100, but it will retain a massive hybrid view finder that will be about twice the size of the current GFX50S viewfinder. Early revisions of the GFX100 have greatly reduced the back blunge of the GFX50S and early reports about how the camera handle place it somewhere between the Fujifilm GFX50S and Hasselblad X1D. Oh and did I mention their is a leaf shutter!

The Fujifilm GFX100 should be available April 2018 for around $4,001.

Nissin HSS Support For Fujifilm Postponed

On March 31, Nissin Japan Co., Ltd. announced that it will postpone high – speed sync (HSS) correspondence for Fujifilm of the company ‘s strobe.

The target models are Di 700 A, Air 1, i 60 A, i 40. As scheduled to be coming soon, it will be postponed to mid-May.

The reason is that it took time to prepare firmware development, and that a significant change in specification occurred during development.

Potential Next Generation Fujifilm GFX Sensor Spotted IMX461

Photorumors warns that this might be for April fools, but the video was posted March 31st and Fujifilm eluded to Sony’s next generation sensor including most of what is revealed (Now verified). Maybe we will see a Fujifilm GFX 100S and Fujifilm GFX 150S in late 2018 early 2019. If all goes well we might even have a Rangefinder styled GFX R camera and many a GFX100.
