The Fujifilm X-T100 looks like a very impressive value and it offers new more professional entry-level camera for people interested in Fujifilm cameras. I hope there are some great grips designed for this camera that utilize the new side screw because the camera is a little on the small size for someone like me, but I can see it being made to fit anyone’s hands if the right entrepreneur gets involved in making custom grips.

Fujifilm announce firmware updates for X-A5 coming soon
New complimentary upgrades provide enhanced usability including a new PDAF algorithm and extended movie recording time.

FUJIFILM Corporation (President: Kenji Sukeno) will release free firmware updates for the FUJIFILM X-A5 (“X-A5”) X Series digital camera. Due for release in June, the updates are based on feedback we have received by FUJIFILM X Series users wanting improved usability.

Firmware Version:
FUJIFILM X-A5 (Ver. 1.10) – due in June 2018

1.Introducing a new PDAF algorithm
Applying the newly developed PDAF algorithm first featured on the FUJIFILM X-T100 which was announced today. The improvement in autofocus speed and accuracy ensures that you capture those beautiful photographic moments quicker.

2.Extended movie recording time
The optimized movie processing algorithm extends the individual movie recording time up to approximately 30 minutes in any movie quality.*

*Although movie recording will continue without interruption when the file size reaches 4GB, subsequent footage will be recorded to a separate file which must be viewed separately.

3.Other improvement
Improved HDMI output usability – eliminated the time limitation and modified graphic interface when the main LCD monitor is inverted by 180 degrees.

More Fujifilm X-T100 Information and Photos Leak: Updated

Nokishita leaked more images showing the new tilty/flippy screen for the Fujifilm X-T100 along with some solid dates for the announcement and shipment of the Fujifilm X-T100 and overseas pricing information. The price of 80,460 yen for the body, 94,500 yen for the lens kit and 107,460 yen for the double lens kit translate into $730.01/$857.40/$974.77 USD.


Adorama has 7 Fujifilm X-T100 options listed already, but you can’t preorder yet.

Pre-order will start May 24th and the camera is expected to ship June 21st.

Fujifilm Registers Camera Similar in Size to Fujifilm X70, Might be Fujifilm X80/XF10

Nokishita released details of a new camera registered by Fujifilm that is probably the replacement for the x70. We have an X80 on our timeline that might be called the XF10 that is due out this year. It’s been expected for some time without a lot of details beyond it will likely have a bayer sensor thanks to our source.

The code name “FF 180002” of Fujifilm unreleased camera passed FCC certification.

“The communication module installed in Fujifilm’s unreleased camera passed overseas certification agencies. Is it smaller than X – A5, is it a condenser?

Distance information to the antenna is not very helpful because the protruding part is not included, but assuming it is a box type, the width is about 112.5 mm and the height is about 64 mm and it seems to be close to X 70 in size.”
