Fujifilm Canada Adds Brown Fujifilm X-E3 to Their Site

Fujifilm Canada added the Fujifilm X-E3 Brown edition to their site. I’m not really a fan of the black accents and it makes the camera look like a wrapped X-E3 instead of an actual Brown one, but I am sure it will appeal to some. Also, the brown “leather” used on these cameras has been reported to feel better than the standard materials, so that is one advantage.

The 3rd Party NP-W126S Battery Options Are Getting Better

The release of the Fujifilm NP-W126S battery caused a lot of confusion because it was similar to the NP-W126 battery it replaced, but necessary for newer cameras to function properly. Now there are quite a few 3rd party options available, but Europe seems to have a lot more options than the US market at this time. ultralightphotography did a thorough review of some of the batteries available today and unsurprisingly the NP-W126S battery came out as the top performer for modern Fujifilm Cameras.

Nissan MG10 vs Godox AD200 and Zoom Head Demo

The Godox AD200 is an incredibly popular flash and a lot of Fujifilm photographers haven’t considered using Nissin flashes since Godox made their inexpensive flashes compatible with Fujifilm cameras. Nissin flashes have never been cheap, but most photographers that own them think they are worth the markup and in this case the MG10 Nissin has an advantage under some conditions with its zoom head design and ability to use external power, while the Godox is a little more versatile for studio type photography.

The Nissin MG10 is also already an award-winning TIPA 2018 World Awards recipient for “Best Portable Flash.”

The Nissin MG10 is the next generation of Nissin zoom flashes, equipped with a Micro SD card slot that allows users to update the device easily by themselves. The external motorized zoom allows the MG10 to zoom from 24 to 200mm. With the diffuser it covers a wide angle of 18mm. This powerful zoom flash has a guide number of no less than 80 at 200mm, and 47.5 at 35mm zoom range. The super fast recycling time of only 1.5 seconds with two 26650 Li-ion batteries give the photographer maximum versatility. The MG10 is equipped with a 9W LED modeling light for studio shoots. Controlled by NAS (Nissin Air system) with the Air 10s commander, the MG10 has full-function capability with Canon, Nikon, Sony, Fuji, Four Thirds and Leica systems.

So how does it compare to the popular Godox AD200? Read More »
