Fujifilm Roadmap, XF8-16mm and XF200mm Information Leaked: Updated

Additional Lens Information leaked a little early from China and Nokishita caught it before it was taken down. I will try to post the translations below shortly.

Fujifilm introduces the latest development roadmap for X-mount lenses, further expanding the lineup of high-performance lenses

Fujifilm honors the latest development roadmap for X-series reversible digital camera interchangeable lenses.The latest roadmap covers three new additions to the lineup. The basic specifications of the lens, namely the wide-angle portable fixed-focus lens, the constant F4 standard zoom lens and the large aperture 33mmF1.0 fixed-focus lens.

1. “XF16mmF2.8 R WR” portable fixed focus lens
This compact wide-angle lens has a focal length of 24mm in 35mm format and a maximum aperture of F2.8, making it ideal for landscape photography and travel photography. It is juxtaposed with the released “XF23mmF2 R WR”, “XF35mmF2 R WR” and “XF50mmF2 R WR”

The fixed focus lens group satisfies the need for wide-angle to medium-range focal length.
2. “XF16-80mmF4 R LM OIS WR” standard zoom lens. This lens has a 5x zoom range, equivalent to 24-120mm in the 35mm format, while maintaining a constant maximum aperture of F4.0. Its wide focus.

The range of distances makes it a versatile lens that can meet the needs of various shooting scenes.
3. “XF33mmF1 R WR” large aperture fixed focus lens. This large aperture lens is expected to be the industry’s first lens to be used in a non-reflex camera with a maximum aperture of F1.0 and AF (autofocus).

Fujifilm will continue to fully expand the XF lens lineup to cover a wider range of shooting and meet a variety of photography needs.

  1. Enlarged and customizable indicators or information
    The upgrade allows users to enlarge indicators and information in the viewfinder and/or LCD monitor. This upgrade will also enable users to customize the location of where the information is shown on the display.
  2. Addition of “Flicker Reduction”
    For enhancing the quality of indoor sports photography, the upgrade allows users to reduce flicker in pictures and the display when shooting under fluorescent lighting and other similar light sources.
  3. Addition of “Select Folder” and “Create Folder”
    Enable to choose the folder in which subsequent pictures will be stored. And also enable to enter a five-character folder name to create a new folder in which to store subsequent pictures.
  4. Enhanced Phase Detection AF
    Latest updates to the AF algorithm provide the following performance enhancements
    1) The low-light limit for phase detection autofocus has been improved by approximately 1.5 stops from 0.5EV to -1.0EV, raising the precision and speed of autofocus in low-light environments.
    2) The range at minimum aperture has been expanded from F8 to F11. For example, even when using the XF100-400mmF4.5-5.6 R LM OIS WR with the tele converter XF2X TC WR, phase detection autofocus can now be used.
    3) Major improvements have been made to the AF-C performance while operating the zoom, which provides major benefits when shooting sports and other scenarios in which the subjects moves unpredictably.
    4) Finely-detailed surface textures of wild birds and wild animals can now be captured at high speed and with high precision as a result of improvement in phase detection autofocus.
  5. New functions are added to store and read of camera settings by FUJIFILM X Acquire.
    Once connecting a camera to a computer via USB cable, the “FUJIFILM X Acquire” allows users to backup/restore camera settings to/from a file. With “FUJIFILM X Acquire” (ver.1.7 or newer), CUSTOM REGISTRATION/EDIT settings are also stored and read.

  1. The phenomenon is fixed that in rare cases, “WRITE ERROR” warninng appears when continuous shooting and using BACKUP or RAW/JPEG of CARD SLOT SETTING(STILL IMAGE).
  2. The phenomenon is fixed that in rare cases, abnormal menu screen appears and LCD display goes back to the initial setting screen.

Fujifilm XF10 Detailed Specs Leaked Before Announcement

DPReview leaked all the specs of the new Fujifilm XF10 that will be announced today.

“Announced July 19th

The Fujifilm XF10 is an enthusiast compact with a 24MP APS-C-size CMOS sensor and 28mm equiv. F2.8 lens. It has a 91-point hybrid autofocus system, 6 fps burst shooting and 4K/15p video capture. The body has twin control dials, a fixed 3″ touchscreen LCD, a built-in flash and a socket for an external microphone.”

Fujifilm’s New Lens Roadmap Leaked: XF33 f/1, XF16 f/2.8, and XF16-80 f/4 Coming Soon

Fujifilm will be adding the Fujinon XF33mm f/1 R WR, XF16 f/2.8 R WR, and XF16-80mm f/4 R LM OIS WR to their roadmap shortly according to Nokishita. There are also some new details about the XF8-16 f/2.8 and XF200 f/2 that they will be coming very soon along with some specs:

I can’t wait for the 8-16mm and 33mm to be released. I’d love to get the 200mm but wouldn’t have a lot of projects that I can use it with. Those will probably be the last two XF lenses I purchase unless they revise the XF35mm f/1.4 with weather sealing. Otherwise, all of my money gets put into my GFX.
