Capture One software compatible with FUJIFILM GFX and X Series cameras now available

Capture One software from Phase One A/S is now compatible with FUJIFILM GFX and X Series cameras supporting RAW conversion and tethered shooting. The following software is available from today.

Capture One Express FUJIFILM 11.3 (free)
Capture One software limited to RAW conversion, exclusively for FUJIFILM GFX and X Series cameras.

GFX and X Series cameras are widely used by professional photographers because of their renowned image quality and high performance lenses. Together with Capture One software, the workflow software preferred by professional studios, we can now support the workflow of photographers even more.
The unique Fujifilm film simulation modes will be supported by Capture One in the future.

Fujifilm’s edition of capture one is now available.

Capture One 11.3 is a feature release supporting the Phase One IQ4 Trichromatic, iXM Aerial Cameras and Fujifilm cameras.

Fujifilm X-T3: Fringer EF-FX Smart Adapter Firmware 2.40 Released For Fujifilm X-T3

Fujifilm X-T3 got much improved AF performance. I found it’s so far the best X camera that can use adapted EF mount lenses. Now all its full sensor covered PDAF points are supported. And as the low light AF capability has been improved to -3EV, AF successful rate got greatly improved. Meanwhile, WIDE/TRACKING mode and FACE/EYE focus are all works much better. The improvements of V2.40 firmware includes

For X-T3 (and all coming cameras with X-Trans IV CMOS), we have optimized PDAF performance of all the lenses (on the tested and optimized lens list). Now you can leverage its full sensor coverage PDAF focus points and get improved AF performance.

Photons to Photos: Fujifilm X-T3 vs X-T2 Read Noise Comparison

Photons to Photos released some interesting Read Noise results for the Fujifilm X-T3 that are worth digging into. We are still waiting for a dynamic range comparison from Photons to Photos, but the new sensor inside the X-T3 does seem to perform better than the old one in the X-T2 in some circumstance based on the data. ISOs between ISO400 and ISO800 should also be avoided. The data can be manipulated here.
