Fujiguys: TASCAM CA-XLR2d-F Setup

TASCAM CA-XLR2d-F: B&H Photo

The Fujiguys released their TASCAM CA-XLR2d-F setup video after several firmware updates were released last week to add support for the XLR audio accessory. The TASCAM CA-XLR2d-F allows you to record professional quality digital audio in-camera to complement your video. If your camera doesn’t have a smart hot-shoe adapter then you will be limited to recording 2 tracks when using a cold-shoe mount and battery.

Steps

  1. Make sure you are running the latest firmware
  2. Connect the TASCAM CA-XLR2d-F and an orange light should power on
  3. Connect your professional-quality microphone using XLR or TRS
  4. Adjust the XLR microphone settings and these will vary based on which mic you use
  5. Adjust the audio settings in the camera under the audio menu

Patent holder: FUJIFILM Corporation
Patent: 7048521
Publication number: P2020122941
Application number: P 2019016232
Registration date: 2022-03-28
Publication date: 2022-04-05 Title
of invention: Imaging lens and imaging device

In recent years, there has been a demand for a lens system having an F number smaller than the F number of the lens system described in Patent Documents 1 to 4.

The Gauss type has a problem that the sagittal coma aberration becomes large when the angle of view is wide, but there is a lens system that can acquire a high-quality image by correcting the aberration well even though it has a small F number. It has been demanded.

Further, a lens system having a small F-number has a problem that the weight of the group that moves at the time of focusing becomes heavy, which is disadvantageous in speeding up the autofocus. Therefore, it is desired to reduce the weight of the focus group.

The present disclosure has been made in view of the above circumstances, and is an image pickup lens having a small F-number, a weight reduction of the focus group, well-corrected aberrations, and high optical performance, and an image pickup thereof. It is an object of the present invention to provide an image pickup apparatus provided with a lens.

Just because there are patents found doesn’t mean Fujifilm will make these lenses, but it could be interesting for Fujifilm to launch a f/1 collection of lenses ranging from 28mm to 50mm. The Fujinon XF50mm f/1 R LM WR has been well received and It is possible Fujifilm could go f/1 since full-frame camera companies have been working on a lot of f/1.2 lenses.
