TTArtisan 50mm f/0.95 Classic Coming

TTArtisan has a lot of great glass and they already have a great TTArtisan 50mm f/0.95 for M-mount full frame that rivals the Leica 50mm f/0.95 Nocktilux and they were selling an X-mount TTArtisan 50mm f/0.95 through geekster for a bit. Now it looks like we will get a new TTArtisan 50mm f/0.95 design that is similar to the excellent silver TTArtisan 23mm f/1.4.

I have really enjoyed TTArtisan’s lens line up and it is one of my favorite affordable 3rd party lenses that is right up there with 7Artisan and Laowa lenses. Chinese lenses have come a long way and you really get a lot of bang for the buck out of them so I cant wait for this lens and more in the future.

Tokina 400mm + 2x Extender Listed

If you want a lot of reach on X-mount and don’t mind donut bokeh then you really can’t beat the value of the Tokina 400mm + 2x Extender on Amazon which will give you 1200mm of reach on an APS-C camera. I currently own the Tokina 400mm and I am very impressed with its performance and weight. I plan to pick up the 2x TC as soon as it is listed on its own by a US retailer because it is only listed by Amazon UK at this time.

Viltrox 13mm f/1.4 Now In Stock

The Viltrox 13mm f/1.4 has been a long time coming and now they are finally in stock at Amazon. The Viltrox 13mm f/1.4 has been well-reviewed and it might be one of if not the sharpest lenses for X-mount at this time. I am probably going to get one of these myself, but I am waiting to see what happens with Fujifilm X-H2 and X-H2S pricing, but I might just stick with my Fujifilm X-T4.

Fujifilm X-H2 Stacked Sensor Patents Have Surfaced

Fujifilm already let us know that there would be a new stacked sensor coming for the Fujifilm X-H2 during the X-Summit and to expect it at the next X-Summit which will be occurring in May. Now a patent has surfaced explaining what we can expect from this new stacked X-Trans CMOS.

The patent seems to indicate we may finally be getting smooth blackout-free or blackout-reduced live view while shooting continuously thanks to the camera’s ability to output image files and run live view in parallel with the new processor/stacked CMOS combo.
