We provide a retrofocus type wide-angle lens with a large aperture ratio that is bright and has an aperture ratio of less than 2.0.
  • BACKGROUND ART
    [0002]
As a wide-angle lens, a retrofocus type imaging optical system is known in which a negative lens group is arranged on the object side and a positive lens group is arranged on the image side. Retrofocus type imaging optical systems can easily ensure back focus relative to the focal length, and are widely adopted as optical systems used in imaging devices such as digital cameras and video cameras.
  • [0012]
The present invention is suitable for mirrorless digital cameras and video lenses, in which various aberrations are well corrected by appropriately arranging the refractive power of each group, and the angle of view exceeds 100 degrees. , a retrofocus type wide-angle lens with a large aperture ratio, which is bright with an F value of less than 2.0.

Example 1

  • Focal length: 14.44
  • F value: 1.44
  • Angle of view: 115.23
  • Image height: 21.63
  • Total length: 155.19

Example 3

  • Focal length: 14.44

Zhongyi Chuichi Kogaku SPEEDMASTER 20mm F0.95 ASPH.

Zhongyi Chuichi Kogaku SPEEDMASTER 20mm F0.95 ASPH.:
B&H Photo / Amazon

Chuichi Kogaku (11 Optics): Released large aperture wide-angle lens “SPEEDMASTER 20mm F0.95 ASPH.” for APS-C
Super large aperture with an F value of 0.95 that is strong in dark places. Achieves good image quality by using multiple special lenses

Focal Studio Co., Ltd. will start selling Nakaichi Optical’s interchangeable lens “SPEEDMASTER 20mm F0.95 ASPH.” on Wednesday, January 24, 2024.
Manufacturer’s suggested retail price: ¥ 76,000 (tax included)

The Chuichi Kogaku SPEEDMASTER 20mm F0.95 is a wide-angle single focus lens for APS-C sensors that achieves an aperture of 0.95.

Super large diameter
The brightness of the aperture F value of 0.95 allows you to suppress ISO sensitivity and obtain clear images with low noise even in scenes that require a high shutter speed or in environments with insufficient light such as at night or in a dark room.

Reduces flare and distortion
By using aspherical lenses, ED lenses, and ultra-high refractive index lenses, all aberrations are suppressed and flare and barrel distortion are significantly reduced.

Minimum shooting distance 0.3m
By utilizing the perspective of a wide-angle lens to make nearby objects appear larger and distant objects smaller, it is possible to create eye-catching and dynamic expressions in close-up shots.

High quality lens barrel
The lens barrel is made of metal with a good texture, giving you a sense of high rigidity and solidity.

Compatible mount
There are four types: Sony E, Nikon Z, Canon RF, and Fujifilm X.

Viltrox Lenses Might Stop Working After Latest Fujifilm X-T5 Update

There is a report on asobinet that Viltrox AF lenses will not work with the latest firmware update for the Fujifilm X-T5. If this is true the other firmware updates that were released might also break Viltrox AF lenses so if own have a few Viltrox lenses it might be worth waiting to update to the latest Fujifilm camera firmware.

Someone told me that after updating the firmware on their X-T5, the VILTROX lenses went on strike. (Below is an excerpt of the conversation)

  • After the X-T5 firmware update, all VILTROX lenses were laid off. I could no longer read the aperture and it became a paperweight.
