While others are interpreting and republishing our original rumor here I verified what is happening with my 100% accurate source. It looks like the Fujifilm X-H line might be canceled
“there will be fujifilm meeting in Europe at the end of November and information about XH2 will become clear at the European meeting”
It sounded a bit up in the air, but when I followed up about the meeting I was able to verify that the fate of the X-H2 was being decided at the meeting. It seems there is some disagreement at Fujifilm with a large part of the company wanting to move on and abandon the X-H line while a minority wants to resurrect the X-H line as something more differentiated from the current X-H1. FYI my source shoots X-H1 so they would likely want the line to continue.
Maybe we will know in Dec or January what is happening, but the Fujifilm XT4 details seem to be accurate at the very least so far.
Update: When I posted the original rumor there were a few reports from retailers about the X-H1 being discontinued. Today there seem to be many more reports of customers asking retailors if the X-H1 will be restocked and customers being told the XH was being discontinued. So grab an X-H1 now if you want one…
