World’s Fastest Organic CMOS Circuit Realizes Multi-bit Flexible Temperature Sensor

World’s fastest Organic CMOS Circuit Realizes Multi-bit flexible Temperature Sensor

– Evolution as IoT device realizing advanced information management from box unit to individual item –

14th February 2017

FUJIFILM Corporation. Toppan Forms Co., Ltd. Osaka Prefectural Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology. JNC Corporation. DENSO CORPORATION. Tanaka Kikinzoku Kogyo Co., Ltd. Japan Electroplating Engineers Co., Ltd. PI CRYSTAL LTD. National University University of Tokyo

The group such as Fujifilm, Toppan Forms, Pai Crystal succeeded in further speeding up and integration of the organic semiconductor CMOS circuit which can be manufactured by printing in the NEDO project, and from the unique ID code and the temperature sensor stored inside the electronic tag It is now possible to greatly expand the amount of information acquired.

The world’s fastest organic CMOS circuit developed this time is all formed on a film substrate, and as a plastic electronic tag with a low cost temperature sensor function realizing IoT (Internet of Things), more advanced logistics management, health care etc. We made great strides towards mass production for a wide range of applications.

In addition, we plan to exhibit this result at the NEDO booth “nano tech 2017” to be held at Tokyo Big Sight from February 15th to 17th, 2017.

More Fujifilm GFX Nice Video’s Emerge and Maybe an Official Case

Here are a few different perspective on the Nice event held by Fujifilm, but what’s interesting about the video above is how metallic the GFX sounds when opening and closing doors. There is also an English instructor using the Fujifilm EF-X500 in the video after the camera man finishes handling the Fujifilm GFX 50S.

It’s also interesting to note that Fujifilm is transporting the GFX 50S around in the awesome case above. I’m curious if it will be available for sale in the future or if it comes with the GFX.

BigHeadTaco: Interviews Billy From The Fuji Guys

Big Head Taco scored a lengthy interview with Billy from the Fuji Guy that covers all the latest Fujifilm products. Not a lot of new information, but it’s interesting that Billy from Fujifilm is back tracking on the Fujifilm X-Pro2 never being able to do 4k due to heat related issues, since the X-T20 can do 4k without issue. It sound’s like they might add 4k via a firmware update in the future.

For the GFX Fujifilm will release a free program called Fujifilm X Acquire for tethering that will let you import your files into any RAW editor. SuperFine JPEG files are around 25MB, while RAW files are around 110MB and Lossless compressed RAW files are around 50MB. Fujifilm is also hopeful that CaptureOne will Support the GFX in the future. Fujifilm is also open to working with Metabones, which could lead to some amazing adapted possibilities. One more detail revealed is that the sensors refresh rate is 50fps, but the EVF can refresh at 100fps.

Below you can see the Patrick La Roque video, mentioned by Billy, that was filmed with the Fujifilm X-T20.

Fujifilm GFX 50S: Workshop and First Looks

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XaOd4swPe6g

Above we have our first look at the Fujifilm GFX mounted to bellows with the Fujifilm View Camera Adapter G. I am very interested in experimenting with 4×5 lenses on the GFX in the future, but I don’t have regular access to a studio at this time or the space at home to set one up. The minute that changes ill be buying lots of glass for the Fujifilm View Camera Adapter G. Unfortunately the workshop is in Japanese and youtube translate isn’t enabled on the video yet, but you can see various studio configurations.

Ivan Joshua Loh
Ivan posted a link to his Work & Play with GFX article in our Fujifilm GFX Owners Group the other day that not to be missed. He has some great product photography in his article along with some impressions. I look forward to more of his early impressions in the future.
