Fujifilm GFX 50S Firmware Update 1.01

The firmware update Ver.1.01 from Ver.1.00 incorporates the following issues:

  • 1.The phenomenon is fixed that in some cases the actual saturation of the EVF display is not changed even if the setting of the EVF COLOR in SCREEN SET-UP is changed. It occurs especially after EVF display is changed to LCD and then back to EVF.

Fujifilm GFX 50S vs Leica S2 vs Pentax 645Z vs Hasselblad H6D-50c and More

The Fujifilm GFX 50S is no slouch taking on cameras many times it’s price with ease. The next generation of medium format cameras will be the most interesting of all because the GFX should cause a shake up among manufactures. Competition is good for consumers. Lets hope legacy companies don’t rest on their laurels.

Fujifilm GFX 50S vs Leica S2 vs Pentax 645Z vs Hasselblad H6D-50c – “In conclusion, I would say that the main advantage of 50S I see here is that this camera is very lively, it is largely the work is perceived as familiar to many cameras 35mm format. This means that if there is a need to switch to medium format, other things being equal, I would take it FUJIFILM GFX 50S”

Fujifilm X-T20 vs Canon 5D Mark III and More

The Fujifilm X-T20 is an incredible value for those not quite in the market for a camera as feature packed as the Fujifilm X-T2. It’s also a great backup body for those looking to save some. It even compares well to more expensive professional cameras like the Canon 5D Mark III.

Xatakafoto – “All in all, the Fujifilm X-T20 is certainly a very attractive camera that offers power and image quality in a small and very colorful.”

Huffington Post – “If you are a lover of cameras, photography, or just love the retro look, the Fujifilm X-T20 mirrorless camera offers amazing quality for the price.”

Focus-Numerique – The Fujifilm Hybrid enclosure gains performance (photo and video) and therefore versatility. It is cheaper than its big brother the X-T2, it allows to access the image quality of Fujifilm while saving money to invest in a fixed focal length (f / 2 series is very tempting …).

Johncaz – Overall i enjoyed the stylish and very functional X-T20 and was very impressed with the image quality and speed of operation, though I must admit, the X-T series was already on the small size, so going smaller seems like a negative point to me.

Fujifilm GFX 50S Roundup

The Fujifilm GFX 50S comparisons continue to come, but I think a comparison with the Hasselblad H6D-50c is far more valid than the Hasselblad X1D, because it’s a more full featured camera that’s really designed for professional use. When the X1D was announced I considered it briefly, but there seemed to be too many short comings for everyday use. The X1D is a nice looking camera, but I think cameras like the H6D-50c are easier to justify if you’re not going to go with the GFX.

Another large GFX group wasn’t able to have a civil discussion about the topic so the author decided to engage with our owners community, which is full of passionate and knowledgeable photographers. We had a informative civil dialog about the Hasselblad H6D-50c and while I respectfully disagree with his conclusions the article is solid and a good read, if you are looking into making the jump to medium format the Hasselblad H6D-50c is worth considering. In my opinion buying a Hasselblad H6D-50c is like buying a Leica M. No one understands why you did it until they test the camera for a day or two.

Hasselblad H6D-50c First Impressions & Review – a member of our Fujifilm GFX Owners group that writes for the broke photographer settled on the Hasselblad H6D-50c and tries his best to explain why after writing I’m a Bit Jealous of the GFX…

ryo-tokyo – Review that translates poorly, but if you can read the untranslated it might interest you a little more. If not ryo-tokyo has been blogging some great sample images over the past few weeks.

Sebimagery – “If you’re in the market…or of a good amount of extra cash sitting around…I can’t recommend this thing enough.  Here we have an “everyday” camera which performs…and performs extremely well, is not much bigger than a full sized DSLR, feels great, sounds great, autofocus’s surprisingly well and puts out files that will wow you.”

Fujinon GF 23mm f4 R LM WR Rumored to launch April 19th Now

As I said the other day the Fujinon GF 23mm f4 R LM WR is expected to launch along side the Fujinon GF 110mm f2 R LM so now that both lenses are supposed to launch on April 19th the rumor sounds more legitimate or someone is reading FujiAddict and reporting the details we have been tipped off about. The Instax SQ and Instax SQ10 are also expected to launch on April 19th and the reported prices are below.

  • Fujinon GF 23mm f4 R LM WR (Mid 2017) $2,599
  • Fujinon GF 45mm f2.8 R WR (Late 2017) $1,699
  • Fujinon GF 110mm f2 R LM (Mid 2017) $2799

This is all the information we have about future GF lenses (From January 16th) at this time, as always we welcome information from readers anonymous or otherwise via the contact form, Twitter, Facebook, etc… but when it comes to rumors we have very high standards and might lag behind other sites because we only publish things that we can verify and we do our best to clarify rumors we are asked about.
