FujiAddict’s Fujinon GF 110mm f/2 R LM WR and Fujinon GF 23mm f/4 R LM WR Live Blog Begins Tonight

It appears the Japanese leaks from earlier have slowed and it’s time to get a quick work out and final meal in before the Live Blog marathon begins. Fujifilm news should begin trickling out between 12:00 A.M. and 1:00 A.M. EST. So check back frequently during this time and throughout the following days. I expect to be awake for at least 72 hours like the GFX announcement because FujiAddict is dedicated to serving the Fujifilm community better than any other site out there. We are the only Fujifilm centric site actively using the majority of glass and most popular Fujifilm cameras on the market thanks to you the readers.

So please when preorders begin tonight, or even in a few days, consider using our affiliate links (B&H Photo/Amazon/Adorama) over others so we can continue growing. Affiliate links don’t cost you a dime and they help our coverage continue to expand. Since purchasing the GFX FujiAddict has explored the most extreme long exposure shots out there and captured the first GFX astrophotography photos on the internet and we will continue producing firsts going forward.

That doesn’t mean we have forgotten about Instax Square, which might also make waves tonight or the variety of GFX accessories. We will be covering them too and I hope to pick up an Instax SQ10 myself in addition to GFX lenses.

PHOTOLEMUR

We haven’t seen many big advancements in photo editing software in recent years, but AI based software like PHOTOLEMUR will likely be the future of photo editing for many. Especially high volume shooters that don’t want to wasting time editing images, but like the flexibility of RAW files.

The creators of PhotoLemur contacted us a few days ago to let us know about their software and to share it with our readers. I am going to put together a test post in a few days showing my edit vs photo lemur’s edit, but since they have a monthly fee model, that is ramping up in price, now might be a good time to sign up. The software is a little buggy for me at this time, but I’m testing the limits of what it can do.

Fujifilm GFX 50S vs Leica M240 vs Canon 5D Mark IV vs Fujifilm X-T2, NOVOFLEX and More

The worst comparison ever? or maybe the strangest… The above comparison includes the Fujifilm GFX 50S vs Leica M240 vs Canon 5D Mark IV vs Fujifilm X-T2 and even the iPhone 7 Plus. These guys have an interesting sense of humor, but which camera wins? The iPhone 7 Plus! If the video drags a bit for you the comparison photos are at the end, but watching the video in full gives you a good idea of what shooting a GFX casually can be like. The camera is quite snappy.

Also don’t forget to stick around for our Live Blog, which kind of started today, but will officially start tomorrow. Check back for the latest and greatest Fujifilm news only on FujiAddict.

Reviews
Bamber Photography – “this camera lives up to all of the hype generated by its announcement and release, and then some. It’s exactly what I have been looking for in a tool that will help me deliver better images to clients of all genres. It’s got phenomenal dynamic range and resolution,  great bokeh, as well as the sharpness where it counts, and low-light capabilities that are almost unheard of in this genre.”

Novoflex Press Release:

NOVOFLEX announces accessories for the Fujifilm GFX 50s

The mirrorless medium format camera Fujifilm GFX 50s caused a great sensation at the last photokina. The sensor size of 43.8 mm x 32.9 mm with a resolution of 51.4 megapixels impressed photo enthusiasts and professionals alike. Now, NOVOFLEX is announcing a series of lens adapters that allow the use of small and medium format lenses with the new camera highlight. Thus, soon a large lens offer for the GFX 50s is available.

Leica R, Leica M, Nikon and Canon FD, the market launch of which are planned for the beginning of June. Further adapters are in preparation. This also includes models for medium format lenses of the Hasselblad V, Mamiya 645 and Pentax 67 series as well as a camera connection to the universal bellows devices of the BALPRO series.

Particularly interesting are the lens adapters with Kleinbildanschluss for tilt / shift lenses, since their picture circle in each case is large enough, in order to illuminate also the larger sensor format of the GFX 50s fully. However, many other small image lenses have a picture circle that is larger than the actual small picture format and thus does not cause or only slight vignetting. In addition, many of the older, classic 35mm lenses are based on lens calculations of large and medium format lenses. Any vignetting which may occur can be used both in terms of design and in many cases by software.

The adapter for Nikon lenses has a mechanical aperture adjustment, with which also G-Nikkore can be steplessly dimmed and dimmed. A function transfer between the camera and the lens does not take place with any of the new adapter types.

Initial delivery is expected to begin early June. Prices will be announced in good time.

Further information and delivery notes from: Novoflex Präzisionstechnik GmbH, Brahmsstraße 7, 87700 Memmingen, phone: 0 83 31 8 88 88, mail: [email protected] or on the Internet at www.novoflex.de.
