Luminar 2018 1.3.0 Released

Today, July 11, we’ve released a new update to Luminar 2018!

The 1.3.0 update includes numerous features enhancements and bug fixes for the Windows and Mac versions.

The update is completely free to all Luminar 2018 users, and here is the instruction how to get it:

The next time you launch Luminar, it should prompt you to update the software.

You can also manually check for the update.

  • Mac – Please choose Luminar 2018 > Check for updates.

  • Windows – Please choose Help > Check for updates.

Fujinon XF 8-16mm F2.8 R LM WR Update Shipping September or November

The Fujinon XF 8-16mm F2.8 R LM WR is probably the upcoming Fujifilm lens that I receive the most questions about and I now have something to share. A source related to my 100% accurate source contacted me with a September, but more likely to be November shipping date so pre-orders should start soon. Steelring Nikon F/GFX: Nikon F Mount For GFX Smart AF Adapter Demoed For The First Time

Steelsring is showing off their Steelring Nikon F/GFX adapter for the first time and the performance looks pretty good. Adapting Nikon lenses has always been difficult, but smart adapter companies have made a lot of progress over the past year or two. I am really looking forward to seeing how this adapter matures and I might have to get one myself so I can borrow some Nikon glass from the Nikonrumors admin in the future.

FEATURES:
1) Contrast based AF support to F-mount compatible type G, E and AF-P lenses
2) Auto aperture control for type E lens
3) Manual aperture lever for type G lens, real-time aperture control , nonadjustable from camera body, only the current max aperture is displayed in camera.
4) Full EXIF recording for supported lenses
5) Type D lens is not supported, AF is impossible with this adapter,EXIF is recorded.
6) Lens VR/OIS support
7) Support 35mm format mode of GFX
8) F-mount lenses AF performs better than EF lenses on GFX due to different AF driving mode.

STATUS:
Internal testing now, market available in later August or September.
