Fujifilm X-Pro3 Folding Lensmate Thumb Grip

The Fujifilm X-Pro3 is a unique camera the benefits greatly from a quality thumb grip. In the past, I used to get thumbs up grips for my cameras, but I did try a Lensmate thumb grip on my X-Pro2 and I doubt ill splurge on as thumbs up again due to the price difference for brass.

  • We designed the Lensmate Fujifilm X-Pro3 Folding Thumbrest to allow easy access to all of the buttons, and to quickly get out of the way when you need to get to the top dials. We suggest using our Lensmate Custom Soft Release Buttons with the Lensmate X-Pro2 Thumbrest for a more relaxed and ergonomic index finger position (with the finger draped over the button, usually not using the finger tip). See our other listings.
  • A light push with the thumb swings the rest 40° out from the camera and a light action ball detent keeps the Thumbrest in the opened or closed position.
  • Made of high grade airplane aluminum, then Anodized for a tough finish. Weight 9 grams or 1/3 of an ounce
  • The sculpted thumbrest relaxes your grip on the camera, reduces camera shake and allows slower shutter speeds. Makes one handed operation easier and prevents unintentional button presses.
  • Camera specific design retains access to all controls and does not effect operation of built in flash or articulated LCD screen. Integrated silicone insert provides both thumb grip and bumper between the rest and camera body and the silicone insert in the hot shoe tab provides resistance to unintentional ejection.

Why You Need a Fujifilm X100 in Your Life: It’s All About The Leaf Shutter…

Fujifilm X100V: B&H Photo / Amazon / Adorama

The Fujifilm X100 is a huge draw for photographers that are looking for something a little different, but what makes it special has largely been missed in recent years by reviews unfamiliar or unaware of its leaf shutter and built-in ND filter. In fact, most photographers I know switched to Fujifilm because of the creative opportunities the X100 provided them which made them excited about photography again.

Having a leaf shutter, built-in ND filter, flash, and film simulations in-camera provides many ways to work with light that photographers outside of the medium format world have not experienced. Even if they have used medium format leaf cameras in the past the X100 will shock and surprise them due to the X100’s ability to flash sync at speeds above 1/800th to 1/1000th a second reliably.

So why did I say reliably instead of all the way up to 1/xxxx? With early X100 cameras, Fujifilm shared some very conservative numbers about what you could/should do when syncing a flash at high shutter speeds with the X100, but even with the original X100, I was able to capture greater than 9 out of 10 shots without any abnormalities going way beyond the recommended limits of the X100’s leaf, which is different than other cameras that offer leaf shutters like the GR, RX1, Leica Q, etc…. NEW Fujifilm X-T4 Info and First Leaked Pictures!

I received some Fujifilm X-t4 info including the first X-T4 Picture:

same sensor as XT3
2350 Mah battery
IBIS
fully articulating screen
large convex AF ON button
about 6 mm thicker than Xt3
hard corners on the frame of the camera unlike the Xt3
dual SD cards
incredible buffer far in excess of that of the XT3
because of the thumb cutout to pull out the display, the D-pad is moved over to the right a good bit to make room.
Notice the sub-wheels, on the left there is an “HDR”, and on the right the photometry dial has been removed for “STILL…..VIDEO” and other info

Thanks for the help and information!
