Venus Optic Laowa Argus 33mm f/0.95 Preorders and Samples

I just received the Venus Optic Laowa Argus 33mm f/0.95 a few days ago and it is a very nicely built lens that has some interesting character to it that I enjoy. It can flare quite a bit, but you can use the flare to drastically change the look of an image like below. Both time-lapse were of similar duration, but shifting the location of the camera a little removed the flare and allowed me to huge the satellite dish with the star trail from the north star. I really like the look of both, but there are a lot of great 0.95 lenses for X-mount at this time.

Fujifilm GFX100, GFX50S, GFX50R NP-T125 Generic Batteries and GFX Batteries Compared

Today I was asked if there are any more affordable batteries for the Fujifilm GFX100, GFX50S, and GFX50R, which made me realize I did not have an answer. So I looked and to my surprise there are a few third party NP-T125 generic batteries on the market at this time that haven’t been covered.

Better late than never, but it looks like the Fujifilm NP-W235 will be replacing the NP-T125 going forward with its higher capacity and more compact design. The Fujifilm NP-T125 only surpasses the specs of the NP-W235 by having a slightly higher voltage of 12.6V DC over the 7.2V DC the NP-W235 provides. This is why the GFX100S has very good battery life even though it only has one battery unlike the GFX100, which uses two.

Fujicolor PRO400H Notice of Change in Shipping End Time

Not really a surprise that Fujifilm is bumping up the discontinuation of Fujicolor PRO400H, because as we reported in February the film was already becoming very hard to find. It is still out there but the prices are getting stupid high. The shortages started only one month after the initial announcement that the film would be discontinued.

FUJIFILM Imaging Systems Co., Ltd. (President: Toru Nishimura) announced on January 15, 2021 that “Fujicolor PRO400H Professional Discontinuation of Sales” states that the 120 size shipment will end from our company. Expected in March 2022 “. After that, we received more orders than expected, so we had to move forward significantly. We apologize for the inconvenience, but we will change the shipment to the end of June 2021.

New Fujifilm GFX Rebates: Potentially Delayed

Fujifilm has started a new round of $500 rebates for GF lenses. The rebate details are available from B&H Photo. Just like last time, the rebate is only available for in-stock lenses and the promotion will run up until July 18.

Fujifilm FF210001 Surfaces Again With More Details

The Fujifilm FF210001 was spotted a bit ago by Nokishita, but now we have some more details thanks to the most recent filing. It looks like the location of the antenna is pretty close to how the GFX100S is laid out so the camera that is coming should be a GFX camera that will likely also have IBIS in it and be of a similar form factor as the GFX100S. Nokishita even included a diagram to show how it matches up.

Fujifilm’s unreleased digital camera “FF210001” has also passed FCC certification. Equipped with Wi-Fi (IEEE 802.11b / g / n) and Bluetooth. Is the size almost the same as GFX100S? The planned release date of detailed materials at this time is August 27, 2021.
