Nitecore NP-W126S Now Available

It took a while but the Nitecore NP-W126S is now available on Amazon almost a week after the Nitecore NP-W235 became available. These should be good third-party batteries and you really can’t beat them for the price. I wish they would have released the NP-W235 as a smart battery though because I have heard very good things about them and wouldn’t mind the convenience.

More Viltrox 13mm f/1.4 Photos and New Lens Colors Displayed

Viltrox certainly makes some interesting decisions and I would argue that they currently have the best affordable AF lineup for Fujifilm cameras. Viltrox has a solid lineup, but most of its lenses are very similar to currently available Fujinon lenses with the Viltrox 13mm f/1.4 being the first Viltrox lens to really stand alone. The Fujinon XF14mm f/2.8 has a smaller aperture than the Viltrox and the Fujinon XF16mm f/1.4 is 3mm tighter than the Viltrox which is amplified by the 1.5x crop factor.

Fujifilm X-T4, X-Pro3, and X-E4 Firmware Fix Released

Fujifilm found some issues in some of the previously released firmware which they announced here. It took them about a week to correct the issues found so it should be safe to update your camera now.

The firmware update Ver.1.22 from Ver.1.21 incorporates the following issue: The phenomenon is fixed that in some cases, a camera doesn’t turn on when the PAIRING REGISTRATION is available in SET UP MENU>CONNECTION SETTING>Bluetooth SETTINGS.

First Tokina ATX-M 56mm f/1.4 Image and Coming August 6th

Nokishita leaked the first image of the Tokina ATX-M 56mm f/1.4 along with a launch date August 6th. Tokina also just updated its roadmap which you can check out here.

First Viltrox XF 13mm f/1.4 Images Posted to Weibo

There is a photography convention in China happening today and Viltrox posted some images of it that include our first look of the Viltrox XF 13mm f/1.4. You can see the original post here. The 13mm should be a very interesting lens for Astrophotography and it might convince me to pick up a full set of Viltrox autofocus lenses.
