Save 40% on Skylum AI and Free Tutorials

I really like Skylum for finishing my photos, but I am still stuck in Lightroom for a variety of reasons. That being said Luminar AI is pretty great in my experience and I am often surprised by the ways it can improve my photos. The layout can be a little confusing if you want to take a deep dive, but quick automated edits are very easy to achieve.

If you want to get the most out of Luminar AI I highly recommend you watch all of Skylum’s original Deep Dive playlist on youtube

Followed by Skylum’s follow up Deep Dive 2 playlist on youtube

For a while, I was test driving a lot of applications looking for a complete Lightroom replacement, but as of recently, I have mainly been using on Skylum and Capture One’s products with Skylum taking a slight lead because I like how easy it is to get great results from all of their current applications. Luminar AI, Luminar 4, and Aurora HDR are all great products and you can save on them by using FUJIADDICT at checkout, but I do not believe it works for the deal above so only Luminar 4, and Aurora HDR during the current promotion.

Fringer EF-FX (Pro) II Firmware v2.00 Released

A new firmware (v2.00) has been released for Fringer EF-FX Pro II and EF-FX II.

We are glad to release a new firmware, i.e. version 2.00, for Fringer EF-FX Pro II and EF-FX II adapters. Some issues that bothering us for a long time have finally been fixed. We suggest every user upgrade their adapter to this version.

Detailed information:

Version 2.00
1. Bug fixed: When cameras equipped with X-Trans IV CMOS (X-T3, X-T4, X- S10, etc.) work with some of fast, telephoto and macro lenses, there may be repeatedly AF hunting when aperture isn’t wide open.
2. Bug fixed: On some cameras like X-T3, after a photo was taken, if playback button is pressed and then shutter button is half-pressed in short time, the camera may be frozen until the adapter or the battery is taken off the camera.
3. Bug fixed: There may be abnormal chromatic aberration on photos taken by some lenses that haven’t been optimized.
4. Fixed PDAF issues for some lenses of the following models: Lens didn’t get recognized by the adapter due to different lens firmware version.

5. Fixed IBIS issues for the following lenses:

6. Added following lenses to the tested and optimized lens list:

Please visit the official website to download the firmware and its release notes. Follow the instructions in the release notes or user’s manual to update your adapter.

Voigtlander Nokton 35mm f/1.2 Aspherical Coming to X-Mount

Nokishita has leaked that the Voigtlander Nokton 35mm f/1.2 is coming to Fujifilm X mount which has me more than a little excited because I always loved Voigtlander lenses on my M cameras. Some of the early stuff isn’t great, but Voigtlanders’s modern glass is pretty great and the Voigtlander 35mm f/1.2 was one of my favorite lenses for my M9 and M240.

It seems that Cosina will announce the NOKTON 35mm F1.2 for Fujifilm X mount in the near future.
