Tamron 18-300mm f/3.5-6.3 Di III-A VC VXD Size Comparison, Reviews, and More

Tamron 18-300mm f/3.5-6.3 Di III-A VC VXD:

Fujinon XF70-300mm f/4-5.6:
B&H Photo / Amazon / Moment / Adorama

Camerasize added the Tamron 18-300mm f/3.5-6.3 Di III-A VC VXD to its comparison tool that you can view here. I decided to compare the Tamron to the Fujinon XF70-300mm, Fujinon XF100-400mm, and Fujinon 18-135mm and the Tamron is quite compact considering its focal range. There are also a few Asian Tamron 18-300mm f/3.5-6.3 Di III-A VC VXD review/previews/sample videos that were released that you can view below and  ivanjoshualoh posted his impressions saying “When the world is open again. And one could travel the world; if you could only have a lens; the Tamron 18-300mm is a worthy consideration.” Read More »

Lexar 2000x / 1667x Savings and More

Amazon currently has 128GB Lexar cards on sale as 2000x and 1667x cards. Fujifilm recommends Lexar cards and I have used them for years now without an issue. It’s very easy to way overspend on SD cards that your camera can not fully utilize and the price of 250MB’s cards is plummeting right now so that is the sweet spot for price and performance at this time. The only reason to shoot a 2000x card in my opinion is if you fill the buffer of your Fujifilm X-T3/X-T4 regularly or if you like to buy the fastest card you can for how they will perform in future cameras.

I currently use Lexar 1667x and 1000x cards in all of my cameras, but I have a pair of Lexar 2000x cards for when I am shooting rapidly moving subjects at 20-30fps.

Fujifilm Neopan 100 ACROS II Film Now Available and In Stock on Amazon

Fujifilm’s traditional film has been difficult to obtain at times selling out quickly upon notices of discontinuation or even just being in stock. ACROS II was announced almost two years ago but it only became available in the United States around the middle of last year at select retailers. Amazon now has a listing for Fujifilm Neopan 100 ACROS II that was established in September so it looks like availability is getting better and it is even in stock on Amazon right this moment, but the seller is Adorama so you can order from either.

If you’re interested in picking up film I recommend that you don’t delay because it tends to sell out quickly and it remains out of stock for a long time once it is gone. I imagine that supply chain issues are further complicating the production of film just like everything else too so don’t miss out.
