Fujifilm often makes surprise announcements on April 1st and this year is no different with the Fujifilm XPAN printer for GFX announced. Wide photography is coming back into style thanks to the popularization of 16:9 monitors and anamorphic lenses, but there currently aren’t many XPAN cameras on the market. GFX Challenge Grant Program 2021
The GFX Challenge Grant Program, sponsored by FUJIFILM, is a grant program that awards 5 Global Grant Awards and 10 Regional Grant Awards to help aspiring creatives bring their imaging projects to life. Since the start in November last year, there were roughly 3,000 applications from all around the world. The submissions gave us assurance that so many people are interested in the GFX system and the project. We want to say a big thank you to all applicants.

The selection was extremely difficult, but we were encouraged each time we read the project proposal and were excited each time we saw the presentation. Now, it is time to announce the Grant Award recipients.

The recipients will start working on their projects immediately. All projects will be completed by the end of August, and the final output of the projects will be showcased on this page in September. An exhibition will also be held at our head office in Tokyo, Japan in November.
