ZhongyI Mitakon Speedmaster 80mm f/1.6 For GFX

Mitakon already has three great Speedmaster lenses for GFX available the ZhongyI SpeedMaster 65mm F1.4, 85mm F1.2, and 135mm f/2.5 For Fujifilm GFX. I own the ZhongyI SpeedMaster 85mm f/1.2 and it is a very fun and impressive lens for the price. I have also heard similarly positive comments about the other Speedmaster lenses, so I expect the  ZhongyI SpeedMaster 80mm f/1.6 to be a similarly great value.

Viltrox 40mm f/2.5 Has Show Up Again

The Federation of Independent Photographers has come across a Viltrox 40mm f/2.5  teaser. According to them, Viltrox will exhibit the Viltrox AF40mm F2.5 at an event in Shenzhen on July 6th. The lens is running late and was expected in April. We have been following the Viltrox 40mm f/2.5 for some time.

  • 6-group 10-piece structure
  • minimum focusing distance of 0.34m
  • 52mm filter interface, 7 aperture blades
  • lens body size of 68*55.9mm
  • weight of about 179g
  • The first limited-time discount is only 799.
  • Sony E and Fuji X-mount versions will also be launched later.

Yes!Star S1 Film Camera and Fujifilm

A little over one week ago we announced that Fujifilm C200 and C400 film production would resume in China. It turns out that production has resumed with Yes!Star a Chinese company that has now announced a film camera the Yes!Star S1 Film Camera. Yes!Star was a company known for producing medical film but it looks like they are trying to capitalize on the analog photography craze.

Yes!Star will launch the S1 film camera on July 1st and it looks like Fujifilm C200 and C400 film will be rebranded as Yes!Star400 and Yes!Star 200. Hopefully, they have the ambition to distribute globally because film photographers can use more options and lower priced roll films like Yes!Star 400 and Yes!Star 200 should be.
