For a price of $700 you get a universal zoom lens with excellent optical performance practically devoid of any flaws, well put together, small, and lightweight.
Pros:
- shapely, solid, weather-sealed casing with a possibility of complete closing,
- excellent image quality in the frame centre,
- sensible image quality on the edge of the frame,
- negligible longitudinal chromatic aberration,
- imperceptible lateral chromatic aberration,
- lack of problems with spherical aberration,
- field of view with a significant spare degrees for distortion correction,
- moderate coma,
- slight astigmatism,
- good vignetting correction,
- silent, quick, and accurate autofocus,
- lack of any serious problems with focus breathing,
- good price/performance and price/parameters ratios.
Cons:
- high distortion level in RAW files.
