It looks like the Fujifilm GFX50SII is exactly as expected making the 50MP medium format 44×33 sensor more in line with the current GFX lineup in a GFX100S body with IBIS and it should attract a lot of new photographers to GFX, but when I look at the current lineup I seriously wonder if the GFX50R might drop down to $2,999 or even $2,500.
Further, I really do not like how Fujifilm is doing away with its traditional exposure triangle setup that made them popular. The Fujifilm GFX50S body is still by far my favorite GFX body and I hope we continue to see it, without the bulge, because I kind of hate the GFX100S body and the GFX100 body is only marginally better.
It’s disappointing to me that Fujifilm caved on PSAM in an attempt to get photographers to switch from other systems. Leica and Fujifilm are the only two cameras companies that do exposure triangles right in my opinion and Fujifilm is slowly driving me back into Leica’s arms with the release of another PSAM camera.
