Kai: Fujifilm X-H1 Review

Kai has a lot of good things to say about the Fujifilm X-H1 and he starts with it being  2018 and Fujifilm is doing the “impossible” by adding IBIS to their X-Mount. Yes, the Fuji X-H1 is a new improved X-T2, but those improvements go a long way towards making the X-H1 a great camera. Overall Kai is impressed and he thinks that Fuji should be taken seriously for video now because the footage is very good. He has a few issues with video AF here and there, but it’s still far better than Panasonic and when shooting photos the focus “sticks on a subject like glue.” His only real issue with the camera is that it has no zebra or waveforms, but maybe we can get those later via a firmware update and as Kai says when the footage is this good you’re willing to forgive a lot.

Sure the Fujifilm X-H1 is getting close to full frame prices once you include the battery grip, but many of the full frame cameras you could buy instead are quirky. The joy of using a Fujifilm camera cannot be overstated and the camera you buy today will only get better with time, which other manufacturers cannot claim.
