Switching from Canon to Fujifilm

Lots of professional photographers have been switching from Canon to Fujifilm this past year thanks to the Fujifilm X-T2 and most of them have been featured on some pretty big sites like FStoppers. You can find a ton of switch videos on Youtube but the most recent videos sum up the arguments for why many are leaving Canon for Fujifilm. Mirrorless has matured and even the old holdover argument of Canon’s color science has become mute because Canon can’t tell the difference between their colors and Fujifilm’s.

If the Fujifilm X-T3 is released before Canon’s mirrorless comes out Fujifilm might continue to convert Canon and Nikon photographers. I do not think the Fujifilm X-H1 will be as effective as the X-T3 at this task outside of photographers that have a hybrid workflow, due to the drawbacks of IBIS, but 2018 is looking very good for Fujifilm and it will look even better if the rumored Canon and Nikon mirrorless cameras are delayed yet another year or if they aren’t truly professional cameras.
