Jeff Carter Pushes The Fujifilm X-T2

24 Hours of Le Mans Test - no97 Aston Martin Racing Vantage V8

Jeff Carter captured some incredible images at the 24 Hours of Le Mans that help demonstrate the Fujifilm X-T2‘s capabilities. In his own words

“I can follow focus a car moving at 200mph and I can follow focus a bird in flight.  I can also switch focus from one subject to another quickly and seamlessly.  The Electronic View Finder is beautiful, a joy to use, and doesn’t black out when shooting long bursts.  The 11 frames per seconds on boost mode adds to the flexibility of the camera, as does the ability to shoot 4K video.”

This is great news for anyone doubting the Fujifilm X-T2’s ability to keep up with objects moving quickly. He also highly recommends the Fujinon XF100-400mm, which also performs well on the Fujifilm X-Pro 2, along with the Fujinon XF50-140mm, which I havent used yet. Jeff Carter’s full commentary is available on the Fujifilm-Blog.

Fujifilm Lenses vs Sony Lenses

FujivSony
John likes to make and discuss very detailed lists. Most of his lists and contributions tend to be Sony centric, but I thought his recent subjective comparison of prime Fujifilm and Sony lenses was worth sharing. If you enjoy his comparison give John Clark Photography a look on Facebook.

“This is a comparison between the current Sony E/FE and Fuji X lens line-ups, considering only autofocus prime lenses (that means the Zeiss Loxia lenses are out) and assuming the camera is APS-C. This is not intended to be an inflammatory comparison but a fun (and interesting) ‘showdown’. If I have any facts wrong then please correct them. Read More »

DigitalRevTV X-T2

DigitalRevTV goes hands on with the Fujifilm X-T2 and handgrip. This is one of DRTV’s more serious videos consisting of specs before comparing the X-T2’s autofocus against the X-Pro 2. They were impressed with the X-T2’s autofocus and 4k video. BOOM! They are shocked at how good the video quality has become.
