Tony & Chelsea Northrup Fujifilm X-T2 Review

It’s been a while since Tony & Chelsea Northrup declared that the Fujifilm X-T2 can produce results sharper than the Canon 5DSR, but their review is finally complete. It’s kind of pieced together, but seem pretty impressed, calling the X-T2 the best camera for high quality photos and video. I wish they would have updated their video to reflect their memory card issues and discovery of the Fujinon 90mm f/2 R LM instead of addressing it in the description and video annotations.

Fujifilm 2017/3 2nd Quarter Financial Report

fujifilmfin2017q2
It’s good to see that sales of the Fujifilm X-Pro 2 and X-T2 are continuing to increase steadily along side already strong instax film sales. It will be interesting to see where instax square fits into their profits going forward. You can read the entire report here if you’re interested.

Mirrorless Comparison by Mirrorlessons Completed Their Fujifilm X-T2/X-T1 Comparison

fujifilm-x-t1-vs-x-t2-featured
Mirrorless Comparison by Mirrorlessons completed their Fujifilm X-T2/X-T1 comparison and it is very thorough. If you’re still on the fence about whether to upgrade or save a little money this is the review for you. The original X-T1 is still no slouch, but the X-T2 is an improvement over the original in almost every way.

Choose the Fujifilm X-T1 if:

  • You are on a budget
  • You don’t need 4K video
  • You don’t need the fastest performance for sports or wildlife

Choose the Fujifilm X-T2 if:

  • You want a camera capable of delivering excellent stills and videos
  • You need a larger buffer, faster burst speed and more control over the autofocus for wildlife or sports
  • You can’t work without a Dual SD card slot

You can read the full review at Mirrorless Comparison.

The Fuji Guys from Fujifilm released a full tour of their Photo Plus Expos 2016 booth and a video explaining why you should go beyond the great Fujinon XF18-55mm R LM OIS kit lens. The second video almost reminds me of a digitalrev video and demonstrates the Fujinon XF10-24mmF4 R OISXF16-55mmF2.8 R LM WR and XF50-140mmF2.8 R LM OIS WR.

Fujinon XF 23mm f2 R WR Roundup

I received my Fujinon XF 23mm f2 R WR last week and it’s an very fast lens, but some people have reported issues with the lens being a little soft wide open when taking macro type shots, which the lens is not designed for. At this time I do not have any complaints, but here are some reviews and impressions for you in the mean time.
