Fringer EF-FX Pro and EF-FX Announced

Currently only Fringer EF-FX Pro is available starting at $299 and you can order it here with the EF-FX TBA. Quantities are limited so be sure to grab yours fast. You can also check out our past coverage of the Fringer EF-FX here.

“We are proud to announce the release of Fringer EF – X mount smart adapters. There are two version, i.e. Pro version and none pro (standard version). Currently, only the Pro version is available on Fringer’s official website for $299 (plus $25 international expedited shipping). Please be noted that only very limited quantity is available now and it may sell out soon.

Fringer EF-FX Pro has built-in electronic aperture ring. You may set aperture value through the aperture ring just like the Fujifilm XF lenses. Meanwhile, both bayonets of the Pro version are made of brass.

The standard version doesn’t have aperture ring. You need to set aperture value through the camera body. And its camera side bayonet is made of alloy. The price of the standard version is TBD.

Unlike the smart adapters for GFX50s, the key of the high performance AF on X mount is phase detection focus points’ support. So far we tested and optimized more than 40 EF mount lenses (see this list) to support all the PDAF focus points on X mount mirrorless (X-Trans II and III CMOS only). When using these lenses, PDAF will be activated. That means faster and more accurate AF. For lenses not on that list, most of them can work under CDAF mode. AF may be slower and error prone. And AF-C may not be usable. For a few lenses not on that list, especially some Tamron lenses, there may be compatible issues preventing them from working on the adapter. If you encountered that problem, please wait for firmware updates for better lens compatibility. The list of tested and optimized lenses would keep expanding in the future through firmware updates.”

Fujifilm Sponsored CSTV: Wooden Niccolls Filmed With Unannounced Fujifilm X-H1 to be Shown February 16th, 2018

TCSTV had a rather convoluted live stream today about the Sony a9, where they basically called the Leica SL a paperweight and a good substitute for a club. I typically watch these live and post them later if they have any appropriate material and this one didn’t disappoint. The above video should start you in the right spot if you are interested in the Fujifilm specific content.

The Camera Store TV will be screening a film sponsored by Fujifilm using unannounced equipment at a movie theater in Canada. The unannounced equipment is likely to be the Fujifilm X-H1 and accompanying X-mount MK lenses, which is right in time for our leaked February release date. TCSTV will also be doing a Q&A after the film so don’t miss this opportunity if you are in town.

Chris Niccolls and Jordan Drake from TCSTV star alongside Reamonn Joshee in another Wooden Niccolls. This time remaking an iconic Tom Cruise film scene.

Join us for a private screening with a behind the scenes look at the production as well as the launch of a new product used in the production.

Arrive early, the first 50 people through the doors will receive a complimentary Big Rock Craft beer, popcorn and a signed Wooden Niccolls Cinema Scene poster.

Doors Open at 6:30PM, Screening at 7PM

Location: The Globe Cinema, 617 8 Ave SW

This Wooden Niccolls scene was directed and filmed by Nick Thomas in collaboration with Ron Osiowy, Noah Fallis, Noah Leach, Kaitlyn Kerr, Ryan HK, Levi Holwell, Chris Kreiger, Chantelle Kolesnik and Evelyn Drake.

Sponsored by: DDG, The Camera Store, Fujifilm, Company 3, and UNTITLED Champagne Lounge.

Fuji Guys: Fujifilm FinePix XP130 First Look

The Fujifilm FinePix XP130 isn’t a camera for everyone, but Fujifilm is doing their best to market how tough the camera actually is for those looking for a beater. The price point is actually quite reasonable compared to X cameras and BSI technology dramatically increases sensor performance, but I think this camera is going to primarily interest people going on vacation in tropical places this year. It’s kind of funny they demoed it in the snow instead of taking a trip to somewhere that they could show off what it will actually be used for.

Fujifilm X-A5 With Fujinon XC 15-45mm f/3.5-5.6 Kit Lens

Fujifilm’s new entry model “X-A5” and new kit lens “XC 15 – 45 mm” images are posted on the eaves under digital camera information station.

· Fujifilm X-A5 lens kit image

  • Image of Fuji film X-A5 lens kit to be released next week

※ The image is provided to our site from the eaves eyes digital camera information office.

It seems that the design of the new X-A5 seems to be almost the same as X-A3 as far as looking at the image on the front, but the focus mode switching lever seems to be gone.

XC 15 – 45 mm of the new kit lens is not as thin as pancake, but it seems to be considerably smaller than the kit lens XC 16 – 50 mm so far.
