7Artisans LM-GFX Leica M To Fujifilm GFX Mount Adapter

I heard very good things about the 7Artisans M-mount to Fujifilm X-mount adapter and how it worked perfectly with some tricky Leica glass like the Summicron Dual Range 50mm f2. Now, 7Artisans is releasing a similar adapter for Fujifilm GFX that should be available on Amazon soon. This adapter will work with 7Artisans’ new M-Mount glass which you can also find on Amazon.

Godox RF1/R1 Announced to Compete With Profoto C1/C1+

Interestingly Godox is copying the Profoto C1/C1+ with the Godox R1/RF1 again after the whole Profoto A1/Godox V1 situation. They are even copying the trigger differentiation that Profoto started with their recently announced C1/C1+. UPDATE: Apparently Godox teased their product the day before the Profoto announcement, but they did not release any real details, beyond what you can read below, while Profoto fully launched their product.

Since the announcement of the Profoto I have been thinking about how these compact lights can be utilized in creative ways since the Profoto will let you attach a lot of lights, but you can’t control them all from your trigger, so maybe Godox will be more fully-featured to stand out.

  • The Fujifilm GFX100 had orders from around the world leading up to its launch
  • High-end amateurs have a lot of interest in the GFX100
  • Fujifilm is going to put more focus on high-end APS-C because it is a growing market
  • Fujifilm wants to help anyone take photos like a professional
  • 5G will change photography and make 4k even more common
  • Smartphone are eating into photography, but they still cant produce good bokeh or resolve a lot of detail in the dark but it’s hard to communicate the advantages to end-users
  • Fujifilm continues to try to improve efficiency and reduce costs
  • Fujifilm wants to help build a culture of camera ownership
  • Camera companies need to make cameras that are more attractive than cellphones and Fujifilm is trying
  • The Fujifilm GFX100 can be used by a lot of professionals
  • Fujifilm updates their roadmap once a year and has historically averaged 5 or 6 new products a year and they do not intend for that pace to slow
  • Manufacturing automation has been a big part of Fujifilm’s success, but final adjustments still have to be done by a human.
