Godox X2T-F Firmware 1.2 Released

Godox released firmware 1.2 for the Godox X2T-F to fix some bugs. Download the update here.

1. Fix the occasional stuck problem when using it on the camera.
2. Optimize the algorithm logic of the AF focus lamp to support the use of the AF focus lamp in extremely dark places.

If you’re at all interested in giving Luminar a try there has never been a better time. I personally use all of their software in plugin form currently because I just can’t bring myself to leave the layout of Lightroom yet, but I love Luminars colors with Fujifilm files and I always run images through Luminar apps when looking for just the right color. Granted it’s not the most efficient way to work, but most of the time Luminar produces a look that I just can’t get in Lightroom.

Fujifilm Full Spectrum Fujifilm X-E3

Fujifilm cameras are already very IR sensitive but I decided to pick up a full spectrum Fujifilm X-E3 to use for a variety of projects I’m working on including astrophotography. The first set of filters I purchased for this camera are the Desmond ICE Infrared 3 Filter Set 82mm IR 760 850 950 82 Optical Glass Slim. Desmond ICE isn’t really a well-known name, but the filters are high quality. You can see some examples I shot with these filters below before and after white balancing on green.

These shots were taken during a very cloudy overcast day in between rain showers with a 7Artisan 35mm f/0.95 and it seems to be a pretty good lens for IR wide open, but I haven’t tried to stop it down yet. Many lenses are ok wide open for IR but fall apart as you stop down so I might develop a guide over time. I also like the look of a full spectrum camera without a filter because it reminds me of old-school Kodak films like Kodachrome.

The Instax Mini EVO app was released for iOS and Android even though the camera won’t ship for quite some time.

This app is developed exclusively for use with the Fujifilm instax mini Evo camera. This app is developed exclusively for use with the Fujifilm instax mini Evo camera. Simply, connect your instax mini Evo to this app via Bluetooth and get started.

1. DIRECT PRINT
