Laowa T/S 100mm F2.8 1X Coming to GFX

The Fujifilm GFX waited a long time for Tilt Shift Lenses and Fujifilm finally delivered two not all that long ago the Fujinon GF110mm f/5.6 Tilt Shift and Fujinon GF30mm f/5.6 Tilt Shift. Now Laowa is ready to announce its Tilt Shift solution for Fujifilm GFX and Hasselblad V mount the Laowa T/S 100mm F2.8 1X. Not much is known at this time, but it should be exhibited for the first time at P&E on May 10th.

Fujifilm X-T50 Specs and More

Previously I leaked the full photo of the X-T50 here with some specs that some other sites are now reporting as confirmed so here are the specs broken down.

  • 40.2MP X-Trans CMOS 5 HR
  • X-Processor 5
  • IBIS
  • 1 SD Card Slot
  • NP-W126S Battery
  • Colors Silver, Black, and Charcoal
  • Fujinon XF 16-50mm f/2.8-4.8 Kit lens

All are kind of obvious since the form factor didn’t change and it would have to if they decided to use an NP-W235 battery or include multiple card slots. Beyond the specs I already leaked most of what is out there seems like speculation, especially the prices that have been leaked in foreign currencies, because US prices can deviate dramatically from overseas prices.

Fujifilm X-T5 and X-T20 Shortages Persist

The Fujifilm X-T5 and X-S20 are out of stock at MSRP everywhere, but some sellers have cameras at a markup. This is disappointing since Fujifilm resumed Fujifilm X-T5 black sales back in December and Fujifilm X-T5 silver in January, while X-S20 shipments were never announced as resumed.

Camera shortages aren’t new but Fujifilm seems to have unique difficulty keeping its flagship cameras in stock. I hope Fujifilm isn’t too focused on catching up with X100VI deliveries to resolve other production issues as they arise.

The Fujifilm X100VI is a unique camera that most photographers will choose to buy with their hearts instead of heads. I have personally rebought X100 cameras time and time again because they are a joy to use like a Leica, but there are lots of more versatile cameras that you can purchase around its price point so choose wisely.   • Distinctive hybrid OVF/EVF
  • Combination of size, quality and styling
  • Image stabilization makes the most of high pixel-count sensor
  • Strong video capabilities
  • Decent battery life
  • Built-in ND lets you use the aperture of your choice even in bright light
  • Camera-to-cloud and smartphone app both reliable in our testing
  • Lens doesn’t focus fast enough to make the most of its new AF capabilities
  • Arguably more dials than necessary
  • Face/Eye detection separate from subject recognition, so awkward to switch back and forth
  • Function/Focus dial easily knocked (we disengage it)
  • Lens isn’t the sharpest, especially when wide-open and close-up
  • Have to use EVF or rear screen for face/eye detection
  • Not all Raw converters can get the best out of the X-Trans design

New Westcott FJ80 Universal Speed Lights For Fujifilm

Westcott released two universal speed light that works with most camera systems for TTL and high-speed sync up to 20 fps.

Both flashes offer similar features, but the FJ80 II M has advanced wireless controls and can wirelessly control the FJ80-SE M.
