Notice of Applications Software Used with “macOS 14 (Sonoma)

March 22, 2024 addition
We are planning to release the software compatible with “macOS14 (Sonoma)” as the following timeframe.
FUJIFILM X Webcam (Mac): scheduled for April
FUJIFILM PC AutoSave (Mac): scheduled for the end of March

As a result of our operation check installing our applications on Mac running “macOS 14 (Sonoma)” released by Apple, Inc. recently, the following issues listed in the table below have been confirmed with the certain applications below.

We are working to fix these issues with the applications and plan to release the revised applications as soon as they become available.

We would like the customers using the following applications who plan to update to “macOS 14 (Sonoma)” to be aware the following issues with the current version of these applications.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and ask for your understanding.

FUJIFILM PC AutoSave (Mac)macOS 14.0 or later“PC AutoSave” does not start automatically at Mac startup. Therefore, the “PC AutoSave icon” does not appear in the menu bar and automatic transfer does not start.

・FUJIFILM X Webcam (Mac)
Keep using “X Webcam” without updating to Ver. 14.1 until revised version of “X Webcam” is available.
Note: The details of restoring after updating to macOS14.1 are listed on Apple’s website, but we cannot vouch for this measure.

Viltrox Will Announce LAB Lenses Like The Viltrox 135mm f/1.8 LAB and Possibly More at NAB 2024

Viltrox released a teaser for NAB 2024 about LAB lenses being announced, which could just be the Viltrox AF 135mm f/1.8 LAB that we have known about for a while, but now we have Viltrox’s 2024 roadmap which includes:

  • Viltrox AF 35mm f/1.2 LAB
  • Viltrox AF 50mm f/1.2 LAB
  • Viltrox AF 85mm f/1.2 LAB
  • Viltrox AF 135mm f/1.8 LAB
  • Viltrox AF 35mm f/1.4 FF Pro
  • Viltrox AF 50mm f/1.4 FF Pro
  • Viltrox AF 85mm f/1.4 FF Pro
  • Unknown AF f/1.2 APS-C lens

Viltrox is also expected to announce the Viltrox 56mm f/1.7 and Viltrox 40mm f/2.5 in April so Viltrox could announce them around this event too.

Fujifilm X100VI Limited Edition Orders Start in The United States Tomorrow

Fujifilm has allocated 300 limited edition X100VI cameras for the United States and if you are lucky you can secure one here. They will sell on a first-come, first-serve basis from March 21st through March 23rd. This limited edition camera has a production run of 1,934 worldwide, which is a nod to the company’s founding in 1934.

LIMITED AVAILABILITY: With only 300 units up for grabs, act fast to secure yours – 100 cameras will be sold daily from March 21st to March 23rd on a first-come, first-served basis.

Viltrox 56mm f/1.7 and Viltrox 40mm f/ 2.5 Coming In April

According to Weibo the Viltrox 56mm f/1.7 and Viltrox 40mm f/ 2.5 will come next month in April and both lenses will be priced at around 899 yuan or $124.87 USD. Both lenses will be very affordable and will likely be worth picking up.

VILTROX’s new AF56mm F1.7 APS-C and AF40mm F2.5 full-frame lenses may be released next month.

AF56mm F1.7 debuts with Fuji X mount, equipped with Fuji X/Sony E/Nikon Z mount, and is expected to sell for only 899.

AF40mm F2.5 debuts with Nikon Z mount and is available with Nikon Z/Fuji X/Sony E mount. It is expected to sell for only 899.

Viltrox released firmware 1.02 for the Viltrxo AF 27/1.2 XF Pro. It just fixes some general bugs so if the lens is working properly for you there is no rush to update, but it sounds like the lens might have some small bugs on some bodies.
