The first photos for the Meike 55mm f/1.4 Auto Focus STM were leaked here and specs leaked later here. Now some additional details have been released in a video on weibo which you can see here and read the translation of below:

Only available for 1199! Unboxing the new Meike AF55mm f/1.4 Fuji X mount autofocus lens, the full-frame equivalent viewing angle is about 82.5mm, the minimum focusing distance is 0.61m, 52mm filter interface, weighs about 288 grams, and has Fuji X, Sony E, Nikon Z and Nikon R mounts.

Fujinon XF16-55mm f/2.8 R LM WR Emergency Firmware 1.31 Released

The Fujinon XF16-55mm f/2.8 R LM WR recently received a firmware update to address “Exposure tracking during zoom operation is improved when using the following cameras.” that Fujifilm removed and has now rereleased as emergency firmware 1.31 which you can download here.

In Ver. 1.30 released on January 22, 2024, it was confirmed that the exposure of images taken with certain focal length and aperture value combinations became abnormal.
For this reason, the firmware download has been suspended.
We are preparing an emergency firmware for customers who have updated to Ver. 1.30, so please wait for it.

One Setting That Will Slow Your Fujifilm Camera Down

Most photographers shoot RAW, but since we are talking about Fujifilm cameras there is also a subset of photographers that like to get the shot right the first time in camera with JPEG. If you are one of those photographers then this warning is for you. If you move the Clarity setting off 0 in your camera there will be a slight delay while writing to your SD card. The delay is so long that if you turn on continuous shooting Fujifilm’s firmware will grey out the clarity setting in the menus.

So if you feel like your camera is taking a while to write to the card check your Clarity setting. You can find the setting under the IQ menu of your Fujifilm camera.
