The Fujifilm GFX100II is the cinematographer-friendly GFX camera and third parties have embraced it in a big way releasing specialized cinima cages and glass for it.


This ATHENA PRIME T2.4/1.9 Full-Frame 8-Lens MASTER Kit from NiSi outfits you with eight lenses of varying focal lengths suited for full-frame FUJINON G-mount cameras. The 14mm lens has a maximum aperture of T2.4, the 18 and 135mm have a maximum aperture of T2.2, and the 25, 35, 40, 50, and 85mm have a maximum aperture of T1.9. They all have the same 80mm front diameter, 46mm image circle, and 0.8 MOD gearing for consistency across the focal lengths. This allows you to use the same follow focus system and avoid tedious adjustments when you switch your lens. Drop-in filter mounts place your lens filters between your camera sensor and lens body. This kit includes a hard case that holds up to nine ATHENA lenses but does not include the separately available drop-in filter mount.

Fujifilm X-T50, GFX100SII, and Two Lenses Teased For Sydney X Summit

Fujifilm posted a teaser video that shows that the Fujifilm X-T50 will get a film simulation dial along with the top of the Fujifilm X-T50 and Fujifilm GFX100SII. There are also two lenses in the image the Fujinon XF 16-50mm f/2.8-4.8 and Fujinon GF 500mm f/5.6. The cameras and lenses will be announced at the Fujifilm X Summit Sydney On May 16th at 1AM EST.

Financial Results For The Fiscal Year 2023 Ended March 31, 2024 Q4

Fujifilm released its Q4 2023 financial results ending the FY 2023. Below are the statements about the imagining division and you can find the results here.

Imaging Segment
In the Imaging segment, consolidated revenue amounted to ¥469.7 billion (up 14.5% year-over-year). Consolidated operating income amounted to ¥101.9 billion (up 39.9% year-over-year). In the consumer imaging business, steady sales of the INSTAX instant photo systems drove revenue higher. In addition to the existing product lineup, sales of high value-added products, mainly INSTAX mini Evo and INSTAX Pal, a palm-sized camera launched in October 2023, fared well.

In the professional imaging business, revenue increased as sales of digital cameras remained strong. In March 2024, we launched the FUJIFILM X100VI, the latest model in the X100 series of high-end compact digital cameras. It is equipped with a 40.2-megapixel sensor, the latest processor and the first in-body image stabilization feature for even higher image quality and performance.

Consumer Imaging Revenue ¥297.6 billion (up 11.5% YoY)

  • Achieving the INSTAX sales target of ¥150.0 billion for FY2024 one year ahead of schedule was a major driving force behind revenue growth in Consumer Imaging
  • High value-added products, mainly INSTAX mini Evo, a hybrid instant camera incorporating digital technology, and INSTAX Pal, a “palm-top camera” launched in October 2023, performed well
  • INSTAX mini 99, the top-of-the-line analog instant camera, was launched in April 2024

Professional Imaging Revenue ¥172.1 billion (up 20.0% YoY)

  • Revenue rose due to strong sales of X-S20 launched in June 2023 and GFX100 II launched in September 2023, in addition to the models released in the previous fiscal year
  • In March 2024, we launched X100VI, the latest model in the X100 series of high-end compact digital cameras, equipped with a 40.2-megapixel sensor and the latest processor

Fujifilm X-H2 and X-H2S Shortages Reported in Asia and Might Come West

The Fujifilm X-H2 and Fujifilm X-H2S seem to be well stocked in the US, but Shop Moment is back-ordered for the X-H2S and its X-H2 page is reporting a 500 error. Hopefully, the shortages won’t impact the West, but we have seen shortages that started in Asia expand to the US before and those shortages still have not ended so now might be the time to purchase an X-H2 camera if you are considering purchasing one at a later date.
