Viltrox AF 75mm f/1.2 PRO XF: B&H Photo / Amazon / Adorama
The Viltrox AF 75mm f/1.2 Pro is currently one of my favorite lenses for X-mount and it seems Lenstips agrees in their full review. Below is an excerpt from that review:
The Viltrox AF 75 mm f/1.2 is our new record holder on the Fujifilm X-T2 sensor. As if it wasn’t enough, its resolution near the maximum relative aperture and on edges of the frame are also outstanding. The lens doesn’t have any problems with chromatic aberration, distortion or coma. Overall we are deeply impressed by its performance and we would recommend its purchase with a clear conscience, especially that the producers didn’t go over the top with the price and, as a result, this model can be bought for about $500.
Pros:
- stylish and solid barrel,
- record-breaking resolution in the frame centre,
- very good image resolution on the edge of the frame,
- negligible longitudinal chromatic aberration,
- very low lateral chromatic aberration,
- practically zero distortion,
- moderate coma,
- lack of any serious problems with astigmatism,
- silent autofocus,
- very nice out-of-focus areas.
Cons:
- terrible performance against bright light,
- noticeable vignetting,
- distinct focus breathing.
