Fujifilm often makes surprise announcements on April 1st and this year is no different with the Fujifilm XPAN printer for GFX announced. Wide photography is coming back into style thanks to the popularization of 16:9 monitors and anamorphic lenses, but there currently aren’t many XPAN cameras on the market. Fujifilm and Hasselblad have made efforts to change this with both of their medium format cameras providing wide crop modes beyond 16:9 and the Hasselblad X1D releasing an adapter for XPAN glass and now Fujifilm has provided photographers with a convenient way to print wide-format photos.
