Samyang AF 12mm f/2 IBIS Bug Found

Samyang AF 12mm F2 X: B&H Photo / Amazon

The Samyang AF 12mm f/2 is an interesting lens at a very affordable price, but it looks like the lens might need a firmware update for IBIS to work properly on the Fujifilm X-S10. A reader that previously reported having an IBIS issue with the lens sent me a DPR forum post with two additional reports of IBIS not working with the X-S10 here. This means there are at least 3 people having the same issue with the same camera that we know of so far. Three people could have three bad copies, but it is strange that the lens is reported to work correctly in every other way.

Samyang hasn’t released any firmware updates for the Samyang AF 12mm f/2 yet, but they may not be aware of the issue yet. This issue will be even harder to spot if the Fujifilm X-T4 IBIS works properly since there aren’t any reports of IBIS issues from X-T4 owners yet.
