DPRTV released its full Fujifilm X-E4 review after releasing its COVID first impressions here.
- Very similar to the X-S10, but the X-S10 is designed as a DSLR replacement
- X-E4 is about minimalist thinking
- Light plastic fees and not weather sealed
- Aftermarket thumb grips and grips make the camera feel better
- Might be a step too far for minimalism
- X-E4 should have a back control dial because just having a front dial is confusing/distracting
- More customizable controls would be nice
- AF selector is missed here
- Some might want to stick with an X-T30, but it doesn’t have the latest AF
- X-E4 focuses like an X-T4
- Not quite up to Sony’s AF system
- Nice rear screen and EVF
- The nose can hit the screen and move the AF point
- Not a lot of eye relief so can be a little cramped
- Decent touch screen interface
- Good for family stuff and street photography
- 30-70 shots to fill the buffer depending on the mode you use which gives you 1-5 second of shooting before filling the buffer
- Only one UHS-I card slot
- Same excellent 26MP sensor that is in other cameras with a fast read out speed
- Missing nostaligic neg mode
- Pretty impressive for video 4k30p and 1080 240p, but only log 8-bit
- Can get 10-bit on an external recorder
- Very light 380g
- Basically the same size/weight as an X100 with the XF27mm
- Once you start adding options the X-S10 comes into reach and might be a better value
