Fujifilm GFX100S Fixes PDAF Banding

Jim Kasson of the last word was the first to test for PDAF Banding on the GFX100, which we covered here. He has since repeated his banding test on the GFX100S, which you can read here. The good news is that Fujifilm fixed the PDAF banding issue from the GFX100 on the GFX100S

Good news! There appears to be virtually no PDAF banding, and not much banding of any description. However, the 16-bit version doesn’t appear significantly better.

but I wonder if Fujifilm will/did also fix this problem with the original GFX100 via a firmware update. I personally have only encountered it a hand full of times when I was really pushing a low-light photo, but it does happen.
