Many consider 102MP to be over kill, but then Fujifilm added a 400MP multishot mode to the GFX100 that is even more extreme. While 102MP should be enough for almost anyone when you shoot at 400MP, which the above video claims works out to 407MP, you see the detail of dust. In the above video you can see how 102MP images start to lose detail as you zoom in on dust, but the 407MP images allow you to get a clear image all the way up to 1200% which then turns into pixels. This effectively allows the creation of Macro shots cropped from normal images.
If you want to play with some large files I posted a 102MP and 400MP image created by my GFX100 here. I’m still trying to get 407MP working for shooting objects like the moon, but I think I will need a much higher end tracking head due to how tight the tolerances are.
