Fringer NF-FX Firmware 1.10 Released

The Fringer NF-FX received its first firmware update today adding support for a lot of Nikon glass. The Fringer NF-FX is available from B&H Photo.

The main improvements include:

Version 1.10

  1. Added following lenses to the tested and optimized lens list:

*Be noted: Due to the limited power supply of the small mirrorless cameras, AF-S600/4G VR may drain too much current and work unstable. If that happens, please turn off VR to save power consumption.

  1. Fixed compatible issues with some old Nikon AF and AF-D lenses. Following lenses were not compatible and work normally (MF only) now. (Although not tested, yet, more Nikon AF and AF-D lenses should be compatible now)
  2. Increased AF speed in movie mode for the following lenses:

Please visit the official web page to download the firmware file and release notes. Follow the instructions in the release notes or user’s manual to update your adapter.

The Nikon big primes such as AF-S500/4G VR works very well with the new firmware. Please watch the following test video about its AF-C tracking performance.
