Fujifilm X-T3 Review by Kai Wong

Kai joins the ranks of who needs full frame and he seems genuinely impressed with the Fujifilm X-T3. Here are some key points below:

  • Same great body as the Fujifilm X-T2
  • 30fps 1.25 crop photos are basicly video
  • Super fast AF about 1.5x faster than the X-T2 which make it fantastic at AF and very snappy.
  • In fact, AF is so good that there really is no point of using AF
  • Low light AF is acceptable
  • Noise good up till 12,800
  • Price is a crazy bargain
  • The X-T3 is very quite but X-H1 is a little quieter
  • No IBIS
  • Fujifilm APS-C is hugely popular and their Super Full Frame is for everyone else
  • 30fps tracking is very good
  • 30fps for 60 frames before the buffer is full
  • 11fps for 145 frames before the buffer is full
  •  Photos are great, but the video performance is the biggest improvement
  • No crop for 4k 60p 10-bit 4:20
  • Eterna is great, but less dynamic range
  • External video at 10-bit 4:2:2 grades better
  • Better dynamic range than the GH5
  • Snappy video AF
  • Low rolling shutter
  • Only real difference with GH5 is IBIS and top LCD Screen
  • Weird the X-H1 is the flagship since the X-T3 is so much better
  • The Fujifilm X-T3 is one of the best cameras this year
  • It’s a complete package with great video and photo performance
