Digital Rev: Fujifilm X-A5 and Fujinon XC 15-45mm F3.5-5.6 OIS PZ

The Fujifilm X-A5 is a great value and the Fujinon XC 15-45mm F3.5-5.6 OIS PZ is a great lens to pair with it, but digitalrev does have a few complaints about this camera that they seem to think is marketed toward hipsters. The Fujifilm X-A5 and accompanying lens are very plasticy or as digitalrev says fisher price like. This shouldn’t be surprising considering the price point, but they do seem to perform well together except when shooting video.

When using the Fujinon XC 15-45mm for video the lens is noisy and shutters while zooming slowly. Watch the video to see how the XC 15-45 performs and for more examples of how well the camera performs. Those looking to pick up a Fujifilm X-A5 shouldn’t expect X-E/X-T camera build quality or XF lens build quality, but it the X-A5 will produce excellent X-system photos that will hold their own.
