The Last Day Before The Fujifilm GFX 50S Ships Let The Testing Begin: Fujifilm GFX 50S vs Canon 5D Mark IV

It’s still unclear how many cameras will ship on launch day. There are reports of photographers receiving “back order status” emails and camera shops having the camera in stock ready to sell tomorrow in our Fujifilm GFX Owners Group. Hopefully shortages don’t last long.

Hands-on/Samples
Flemming Bojensen published an interesting hands-on using the Fujifilm GFX 50S the “wrong way” today. Hopefully medium format photographers become more accepting of the new reality sooner rather than later, but their beloved format is being opened up to the masses by Fujifilm. He also has some interesting articles about the Fujifilm G617, but most of the photo links are broken.

DPReview has new sample images from the GFX 50S and an interesting debate about digital vs film in their medium format forum going happening.

Fujifilm GFX 50S vs Canon 5D Mark IV

DC.Fever has the first test shots from the Fujifilm GFX 50S comparing it to the Canon 5D Mark IV. The results aren’t surprising, but they are interesting. The High ISO performance is also very impressive. Check out the full comparison here.
